a) Presumably this って is making a conditional/supposition, yes?

b) I am having a blank with いやしない. What is that?


2. a) In, for example, ポッター家 ("Potter" being the family name), how is 家 pronounced?

b) What is the difference between ポッター家 and ポッター一家?

家 can refer to the family and relatives, similar to "clan" (e.g. 徳川家), whereas 一家 can be used for a group, especially gang or mafia (e.g. カポネ(Capone)一家).

As for ポッター家 vs ポッター一家, I think the latter refers to (the present) family members of Potter.
