MEXT Scholarship through University Recommendation

I also visited my host institution for 15 days and for that I did not need any documents other than the ones you mentioned. However, I have just completed my Bachelors and have yet to receive the proof of graduation so I was wondering if it is needed for college student visa application or just the documemts that MEXT will send.

go to long term visa and then student visa. I asked one of my friends who is already a MEXT Scholarship recipient and came to know that we just need the MEXT Scholarship certificate and contact embassy with that. We don't require any documents apart from our certificate, passport, application form and a passport picture. That's all I know as of now. Once I get my Certificate, I will call MEXT and check out other details, if any.

That is what I have to check because the last time I applied was a mere drop off at VFS. But my University said that you can go to the embassy will your certificate and they will help you with your visa.

I will receive the certificate in a day or two but I have absolutely no idea when I will receive my tickets. It is all upon the University.

@Rishi only MEXT documents will do. And do not worry, your university only will guide you through.

I am from Nagoya Uni too!!!!! i have received my letter today via airmail!!!! the tickets not yet you have to fill and application form and the results will be announced after the 3rd of august.

Hello my friend,
I have received the pledge on the 23 of July I guess and return it, but in the 28 of july i have received the copy of letter of acceptance via email and the original one via airmail yesterday. I also applied to get the ticket yesterday (I filed aan application for with my personal information like the adress and the nearest airport).
I even wanted to know what is the name of the dormitory and the price of the room that I am gonna stay in it but the office told me that there is no information regarding that until August 9.

Did you tell the embassy that you are formal approval of MEXT Scholarship? My Uni said that I should go to embassy after Aug 14 because it takes time for MEXT to liaise with the embassy and to share information of new MEXT scholars.

I told them but the insist on the letter of eligibility because they said the Mext scholarship students application for visa is different from a private financed ones. They told me that ththey didn't receive anything yet from the Japanese ministry (it is like they don't see me as a scholarship student )
