What's new

can anyone tell me what the japanese writing on this video is in romaji?

Hi! I have been seeing lots of posts from you related to translation of lyrics of Japanese songs . Do you know of a site called "Jpop asia"? It has translation and lyrics ,in romaji too, of almost all popular Japanese songs.
heres the link ! JpopAsia - the online asian media resource

Also, even if you are not asking for a translation, writing romaji of a song does take time. Try doing it yourself first and then post it. Then maybe someone will point out your mistakes or something. Good Luck!

i know, but the thing is that this video's language is in english, but the subs are in japanese writing :)

Can't you read the Japanese lyrics at all? At least you must be able to try to pick up some words. (Or, it's not that important for you, so you don't want to use time for such things?)

You'll have to get a bit creative with the pacing then, since the original English song text and the Japanese translation have (of course) a different number of syllables in each line.

I'll gladly write out the romaji for you - if you complete your ema translation attempt first.

okay, i'll try my best :)

I just went and transcribed them without checking for new posts so I'll put them here anyway...
I guess I'm even more bored today than I thought.

I have to wonder if I spent more time (5-10 mins) transcribing these than the lyricist spent writing them. Not a lot of creativity here.

明日 also can be read "asu". @The OP, you need to check by yourself which she really sings in the Japanese version.

Note that the verse 夢を見る 夢を語る 夢に憧れ 夢にやぶれる is repeated twice in the final chorus.

@Toritoribe
Well, that's embarrassing. F for attention to detail.

But as far as I can tell from a quick googling there is no actual Japanese version that has been sung. They are just a translation of the English lyrics.

Oh, no, no, my reply is towards the OP. I should have stated it more clearly, sorry.🤦 I really appreciate your efforts (writing down the lyrics is a troublesome job indeed).

Actually, the Japanese version exists.;)

I should have checked whether what I wrote made sense though. I don't think "magaki" is a real verb lol.

Sorry, this video cannot be watched in your region due to licensing restriction.

Oh well, I hope OP can find a version that works for her.

Oops, sorry again!
I think the OP has already heard the Japanese version somewhere, and therefore asked us to give her the romaji lyrics. The video I linked above is a short version. The singer sings just the first half of the song in the video, so I can't check the correct reading of 明日.
