Thanks ahead of time to anyone who takes the time to confirm which sentences / phrases are correct / not correct.
Special thanks to Toritoribe for fixing my first corrections.

5. For your own father, say 父 (ちち)

6. Review usage of これ/この

8. これ not かれ
"Whose" not "who's"

9. ちち for your own father, はは for your own mother

To type ん, hit "n" twice. ("nn").

1)
Review usage of これ/この, as Mike-san wrote for sentence 6.

4)
Use katakana for Mary.

4) 5)
それ can't be used when referring to a person who is really there. It's valid when, for instance, the addressee is referring to a person in a picture. あれ can be used for your in-group members(e.g. family members). あの人 is more appropriate for out-group members since あれ could sound rude.

As for the difference among こ, そ and あ, see the following thread.
Kore/Kono, Sore/Sono and Are/Ano

So, what is your corrected translations?

Sentence 9 In Japanese:
Otoosan wa nihonjin desu
ちち は にほんじん です ( Correct )
Okaasan mo nihonjin desu
はは も にほんじん です ( Correct )

Thanks and here are the corrections.

4 is valid if, for instance, the speaker and the addressee are talking about a person in a picture, as I wrote.

Copula is needed for 5.

1 and 6 are not corrected yet.

Does your workbook really mistakenly use "who's" instead of "whose"?

"Who's" is a contraction of "who is".

The interrogative possessive pronoun is "whose".

I checked the book again and they used "whose" I just didn't realize it.

For some reason, you have re-corrected #5 so that it is once again incorrect.

Ahh I'm so confused now, you are telling me one thing and Toritoribe is telling me another.

Let me get this straight before I lose it.

Kore - Refers to a thing that is close to you ( the speaker ) ex: This thing here
Sore - Something that is close to the person you are talking to ( Thing in front of you )
Are - Refers to a thing that is neither close to the speaker nor the listener ( that one over there )
Dore - "Which one" is it
Kono - To be more specific ( meaning "this" , "a thing that is close to you and you are referring to" )
Sono - Pointing or referring to something that is a thing / person that would usually be near you
Ano - Something far from both the speaker and the listener
Dono - sInce this is already a question from what I recall "wa" cannot be used with it but instead ga is replaced

This is what I memorized and what I've gone by but I'm clearly doing something wrong.

Then the correct version of 5 should be below unless i've gone crazy.

Sentence 5 In English:
That is my Father

Sentence 5 In Japanese:
Are wa watashi no otoosan
あれ は わたし の ちち です ( Correct )

I told you that your own father is ちち.

He pointed out that you forgot the copula.

The copula is です.

Then you switched ちち back to おとうさん and still forgot the copula.
