Hello, everyone. I want to start off saying I've just finished the first 750ish Kanji in RTK(Remembering the Kanji) I'm using Anki, and I'm using the 24/7(as much as possible) immersion method. I have chose this route, because it's the only thing that's actually made sense, and helped me. I was going to a class in college, but realized quickly it wasn't "real japanese" I don't want to learn polite Japanese, I want to learn street talk, slang, and basically real Japanese. My class was teaching me polite japanese while requiring we do 5 Kanji a week, so I quickly just dismissed the class.
5 Kanji a week? yeah, right. I'll do it myself. Plus, the instructor called 富士山 he called it "Fuji-chan" and I had to just drop this class, it was free anyways. (Wonder why LOL) Anyways, I've been doing this Kanji, and some of these I just cannot seem to remember, it's NOT many maybe like 5 out of the like 788 I'm learning. I've looked for different approaches to this, and I'm just really trying to see if you guys, or ladies have anything to recommend for me?
I've been told to just write it down thirty times each, every new Kanji I learn. But, I've not really tried it. Yeah, kind of stupid on my part, but I just found this article about it, and I'm just about to sleep. So, I don't have the time. Plus, I learned quiet a bit today. I usually just remember most of the Kanji without much trouble, like right now I'm watching a Japanese ending to Pokemon and I can see a lot of Kanji I know. It's pretty awesome, just having fun, and messing around.
Anything to recommend a beginning person for remembering Kanji better? Leave me something, anything if you don't mind. Have a good morning, evening, night wherever you are.
