にて・消えな

Hi, 2 quick questions...

1."ザナルカンドにて" = "To Zanarkand," a song. But what exactly is "にて？" Usually I would see へ in places like that.

2."消えな" I would see this as being short for "消えるな" except in this case the speaker wants the addressee to go away. What does it mean now?

Yeah, にて is more likely "at / in". It's the same as で.

消えな never means 消えるな. It always means 消えろ. You can think it's a strong version of 消えなさい. (Maybe you are confusing 消えな with 消えんな?)

I see. Yeah, it appears to be the "formal literary form" of で. So I guess it just sounds more formal and possibly more serious as a song title?
