I've been busting my brain (and eyes) trying to figure out a certain kanji but to no avail.
Could you please help me out?
I can't read the furigana next to it either, due to my monitor being possibly older than me and the fuzzy pic quality. So I'm basically stuck.

Karitoriki means "reaper machine".
I don't think the transliteration "rīpā" works well in this case, since the English word "reap" is not common in Japan. Further, "rīpā" can't distinguish between "leaper" and "reaper" in Japanese, therefore "rīpā" can be misunderstood as "leaper".

The meaning of my surname is "life", which, as far as, I know it is 人生 (jinsei) in Japanese
and the meaning of my name is "hero, brave, (sometimes warrior)", from the dictionary I have found 勇士 (yuushi)
Are those names good enough or can you suggest me some alternatives?

勇士 can be a male given name. The reading Yūji might be more common, though. Another option is 英雄[Hideo]. This is a very common male name, and literally means "hero".
人生 doesn't sound like a surname.

More like "prolonging of life", though I suppose it would be a sort of nitpicky difference. It is an actual Japanese surname, though.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with this Kanji. I know the top pair are "authenticated" And the next is "gold" then "wood" but the last one has me lost. I think it is the family name of the knifemaker. I would love it if anyone could point me in the right direction.
