Hi there - I intercepted a message between my gf and another man. But I don't speak Japanese. This was on a mutual computer we were using. I suspicious that she may be cheating on me. Can anyone help translate? Its a bit long but maybe if someone can tell me if and when they met?? Then I can compare to when I know she said she was somewhere. thanks so much!

Nothing incriminating, but she doesn't consider a foreign boyfriend (YOU) a serious long-term prospect. Don't get your hopes up with this girl; you're just local entertainment until she goes back home.

I wouldn't go that far. There are always ups and downs in a relationship, and she appears to be feeling down about it right now. Whether it works out depends on the both of you. There's no telling.

The guy she chats with is just a friend, a Japanese compatriot she talks to when she needs companionship and friendship.

Thank you so much guys... is there any indication that they met at all or were planning on meeting?

You are going through her private mail. Then you posted it on the internet. I suggest you confess and offer to leave her quietly if she will not forgive you.

You got this all wrong. Its not that she does not deserve you. Its that you don't deserve her.

If she is thinking of leaving you for another, its her right. If you love her, you trust her. You hope she won't leave. But you DON'T meddle in her business or her mail.

You want an answer to your questions? You MAN UP and ask her if she is thinking of leaving you for someone else.

But DON'T ask her if she is cheating, because that is HER business.

If you suspect she is and fear diseases, use condoms.

But as soon as you suspect her and it bothers you, you are pretty much done anyway. In my case, I just stop letting it bother me. Both you and her have rights to privacy, and yes, that includes your sex and dating life.

She is not your property to go through her mail or demand she put her love life on hold for you. And if you think she is, you should just stop dating anyone.

There is talk of meeting up for a meal, stuff like that.

Look, if you have this level of paranoia/distrust do you really think this is going to end well anyway? If she were here I'd be telling her to drop you like a hot rock.

I agree here, she probably just need someone to talk with about live in the states, things back home that she can't talk with you about. Try to find out what she is missing or needing.

Although I also disagree that you shouldn't check her mail, and especially not post it on the internet like this. I understand your worries and that you just want to know what's going on. Ask her if she meets up with other Japanese, what she talks about with them (be careful how you ask that, since... well we all need our own space.. but asking would never hurt).

Try to understand her more.

Good luck

Also rather than ask if someone is seeing another, you should lay down some ground rules. If you cannot tolerate sharing you should lay that down. Like I said, don't ask if she is seeing another. Simply request to be dumped immediately if she does.

We all take the risk that our lovers are seeing others. Its a risk you have to endure. You cannot escape the risk. So you live with it or get out of the dating game. You sure as hell don't rifle through someone's private things.

If she Can't admit it, she isn't worth the time, don't waste your time and be a toy. No one has time for that. Don't be blind. She has a "friend" but that can always grow on him. I am not saying she will cheat, or leave (which she prob is going to like said above) But always keep a eye out. "The snake always bites when least expected."

I agree with you guys. I made a mistake. Thanks for your comments.

Glad you are man enough to admit it.

Good luck with your relationship. As wrong as all this is, you most likely would not have done it unless you really liked her, so there is a silver lining.

Admit what??

And why should she admit anything about her private business? This is dating, not a marriage. And while marriage might tweak things a bit, you still should have some privacy.

Yeah, keep an eye out, guard your heart and all that. But I don't recommend letting go of a good girl even if she has someone else. Jealousy does not thing but hurt you. We should all endevour to erase it from our minds. Share, and be happy. It beats the hell out of having no one at all, and that is exactly where so many wind up for demanding to be the only one. And being alone is never good.

Spread the love. Don't hoard it like a miser.
