Question to ladies about thigh highs

Hello everybody. My girlfriend likes thigh highs, but she does not like silicone strips at all. She also does not want to attach them to any waistband.
I heard some Japanese stores offer such thigh highs: with no-silicone band, not requiring any waist attachment, holding on leg on their own. Is this true? Can you advise something on shops / brands please.

Do you mean stockings or boots? It seems like you mean stockings, but we can never be too sure.

I think you can buy elasticated thigh-high stockings that snap into place, but there's always a possibility of them rolling down. I think they only work on certain leg shapes.

Mike is right.
It used to be a stick-type glue (it already existed when I was a high school student!), and now it's roll on type glue.
