a shocking fact that goes unmentioned in the underworld of the school

Yeah, "?" shows that the author is asking himself, "What is the underworld of the school?"

There's no specific word for "professional woman" in Japanese. It would be translated something like 女性の専門家/専門職の女性.

Very close, but you need to use "-masu stem of a verb + tai" form for "to want to do". ;)

Help me!

Hi I'm trying to translate a book that is in Japanese but the lyrics are somewhat blurry in parts and nose as he wrote using the keyboard, another of my cases I have problems with the translation because the translators give me anything look:

1_Mi next question is about this sentence, I'm killing myself to understand the meaning of the NU with an ellipsis: ... ぬ ぬ が します よ
Could this be?: No ... not that
2_Y finally this sentence gives me the google translator does not understand that which would be:
見 てつ
Look Iron

1)
Is there a comma after the first ぬ; ・・・ぬ、ぬがしますよ? If so, it would be 脱がしますよ or "I'm, I'm going to undress you, OK?"

2)
Isn't the つ the small one; 見てっ?

The sokuon is also used at the end of a sentence, to indicate a glottal stop (a sharp or cut-off articulation), which may indicate angry or surprised speech.

Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response I really admire your ability with it.
1_ if you have reason was just that!
2_ now that I noticed is lowercase

Hello!

I've run into trouble once again exchanging e-mails with my Japanese friend. I'm just starting to learn the language so I would appreciate it very much if you guys could share your expertise.

This is my problem.
正直バンプしか聞いたことないなあ

Context: I told my friend I listen to Bump of Chicken, Ellegarden and BACK-ON.

In his reply, I do not know if he's telling me that he has never heard of Bump of Chicken or that he has ONLY heard of Bump and not the other bands I mentioned.

Many thanks! :)

I'm sorry, I have no knowledge of Japanese, only a cultural interest. If you think it best, I shall try to find another forum for someone in my situation.

It's my first time coming across this phrase and I'm not quite sure how to phrase it in English so that it sounds natural, any thoughts?

通常運転で送りしています。

That's not 送りしています? 通常 is "normal" or "ordinary", and 運転 usually refers to driving, although it can also mean "operate" or "run". Is this some taxi service or something? :?

Ah, yes there is supposed to be an お in there, that's my bad.
I looked up 通常運転 on alc.co.jp and it said that it's "normal operation"

I've seen it in two sentences 今日も通常運転でお送りします and 紳士は通常運転でお送りしております both of which were tags on pixiv. From what was on pixiv, it seems to be more like normal bodily function rather than anything having to do with a taxi.

But, I can't think of a good way to phrase it so that it doesn't end up sounding really awkward.

Greetings everyone. Can someone help me out with these lines of dialogue. I already have the full translations next to the lines but some
parts (of which I underline) still have me stumped. Admittedly, my grammar is still a bit rough:

学校は連絡しておくから (Don't worry, I'll contact the school)
I don't get how the ni works here

大盤ぶるまいだ~、ありがとう (Thanks for the feast)
Completely lost on this phrase

まだ熱下がらないんだ (So she still has a fever)
What is the verb here

うつすってどうやって (How would you do that)
What is the function of tte here

つーかあのときの衣装もさ、イケてるような気がしたけど… (Well, those clothes were great, but)
Can't really make sense of how the translation is derived. It's not really the meaning of the words but how they are being put together in this context.

唯が間に合わないかもしれないってことか (Bacause Yui might not be able to make it in time)
What is ttekotoka

澪: まあ、それなら大丈夫ってことか (Well, that means your all right)
same as above

It would used as 普段通りでいる/過ごす; "to do/live/work as usual".

に indicates the target to make contact with, as same as ~に電話する.

The clause following から, "大丈夫/安心していいよ, i.e., Don't worry", is omitted, since the listener can easily imagine it.
The clause preceding から explains the reason why the listener doesn't need to worry about it.

大盤ぶるまいだ~、ありがとう (Thanks for the feast)
Completely lost on this phrase
大盤ぶるまい is a noun, meaning 'big treat/giving things generously'.

According to dictionaries, 大盤 was originally written as 椀飯 that has the same reading おうばん. 椀飯(literally. rice in bowl) is a ceremony which was performed at New Year's.

ぶるまい is the 連濁 of the -masu stem of a verb 振舞う[ふるまう]; to treat/entertain someone. This is the noun usage of the -masu stem.

まだ熱下がらないんだ (So she still has a fever)
What is the verb here
下がる. The particle が is omitted.(熱が下がらない)

うつすってどうやって (How would you do that)
What is the function of tte here
quotation, similar to というのは

つーかあのときの衣装もさ、イケてるような気がしたけど… (Well, those clothes were great, but)
Can't really make sense of how the translation is derived. It's not really the meaning of the words but how they are being put together in this context.
あのときの衣装: clothes at that time

も: too/also
さ: an interjective particle used to attract the listener's attention

唯が間に合わないかもしれないってことか (Bacause Yui might not be able to make it in time)
What is ttekotoka

澪: まあ、それなら大丈夫ってことか (Well, that means your all right)
same as above
the contraction of ということか
