Anyone here interested in Ainu culture?

Hello. I am a new user here on JapanReference. I live in Shizuoka Prefecture. I have been in Japan off and on for some time now. I am interested in many things about Japan and Japanese culture and I hope to talk on here and share ideas with others who are interested as well in the future.
One aspect of Japan that I have always been interested in is the Ainu people of Hokkaido . I have only visited Hokkaido twice; once to Shiretoko National Park and once to Hokkaido. At the time I didn't explore the Ainu villages and areas such as Nibutani. I didn't have a lot of time. However, I went to Rera Chise restaurant in Nakano, Tokyo and talked in my limited Japanese to the Ainu staff there about wood carving and other Ainu cultural things. That's been a while ago. And now I am living in Shizuoka, which is pretty far removed from Ainu communities. But I am still very interested in them: their designs, music, etc. So, basically, I was wondering if anyone else on here is interested in Ainu culture. If so, do you visit Hokkaido often? Or maybe you live there? I am interested in connecting with Ainu people and/or people interested in their culture. Feel free to respond to this post. For example, if you have an interest in the Ainu tonkori instrument or Oki the musician, etc. I would love to hear from you. I plan to visit Hokkaido some day again! I am also interested in other things about Hokkaido, too, like the farms there and the wildlife.

You make it sound as if all of Hokkaido is immersed in Ainu culture. It's not, you know. I've lived in Hokkaido for the past 14 years. One has to go out of one's way to see anything of their culture. My school made a day trip to an Ainu museum once (can't even remember which one), so I got some souvenirs there, but that's about it. I lived in Sapporo for 7 years and never once visited the Ainu village.

I plan to visit Hokkaido some day again! I am also interested in other things about Hokkaido, too, like the farms there and the wildlife.

Farms are farms unless you have some vested interest in something more specific. Plenty of farmers' markets around if that turns you on. Wildlife has its place here. You can see cranes in the Akan marshland, and other animals in various places.
