As far as I am aware it is standard english. Used sometimes instead of what does this mean. Sorry if you were not fully aware of what this phrase meant.

The answer was Square. Another name for a communist was a red, so Red Square; the sea battle was Trafalgar, so Trafalgar square; an old London newspaper dropped the London from its title and is now known as The Times, which gives us Times Square; and a Pope was the first one, St. Peter, which gives us St. Peters Square.
