Hi,

My translation: "To tell the truth, I'm getting married this autumn, so I'm currently worrying about what to do."

(She is referring to deciding whether to continue working after she gets married.)

a) I'm assuming どうしようか means "what should I do?", but what is なって adding?

b) In this context is it OK to translate ところなんです as "currently", "right now" or similar?

2. Newspaper headline(s):

I'm not completely sure if this is two separate headlines or one, but I'm assuming the first line means "Number of married people falls by 110,000". I'm guessing the second line is saying something about issues relating to the balance of family life, but exactly how would you translate it?

Translation given: "Admission to that movie is restricted to adults."

Is 見られません the active potential form with subject 大人, i.e. "only adults can see that movie"?

Is my following analysis of the sentence correct?

The fact that the female labour force increased in 2006 by 0.3% over the previous year to reach 27,590,000, the third successive annual rise,

わかった = became known / was revealed

20日 = on the 20th of the month

厚生労働省がまとめた「働く女性の実情」(女性労働白 書)で = in a Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare white paper on women's employment titled "The status of working women".

Does this make sense? ;)

b) In this context is it OK to translate ところなんです as "currently", "right now" or similar?
Yes.

That would be two separate lines. Probably the second line would mean (The second line explains the reason of the first line.)

Correct! 👍

Hi Toritoribe. Do you mean it should be parsed as

かな = "I wonder"

?
