Hello,
Please kindly help me with following sentence meaning:
むすめは はずかしそうに 「わたしは おまえさまの よめさまに してほしい と おもうて ここへ やって まいりました」と つげた。
I had translated it as:
Young woman look embarrassed, and she said "I came here and I want to became your wife"
If possible could you please kindly explain two points.
First is と おもうて, i guess it is te form of おもえる (could think), but i little bit unclear how i can put it into the translation.
Second is やって まいりました. I guess literal translation could be "do and came". But I had omited やる. I wonder that is the purpose of やる, it is possible to use just まいりました instead.
Oh, and another question. Is it fine to ask so many times, especially about same story.
My questions itself very basic, maybe it is not so helpful and interesting.
Thank you very much!
