Hey Budz, can u pls tell me how many interviews are taken for MEXT? And, is it possible to apply for the scholarship throuth more than 1 university? i.e. can I apply twice in the same time?

they just said that they accepted me in their program and i have to apply to MEXT to get a scholarship.
however, they were confident enough to say (or maybe boast) that all their recommended students in the last 25 years were accepted by MEXT. I hope I will be one of those students.

If it were true, people would be sending in hundreds and hunderds of applications through different universities all the time.

Helo Topu. A Prof in a Japanese Univ has told me that he will try the MEXT for me through his Univ. In this case who will prepare the research proposal - me or my Prof?

I have been authorized as a grantee of Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship under University Recommendation, and admitted as a Master's course student to enter Graduate School of Engineering at Toyohashi University of Technology next October.

nice to hear from you?where r u from?I didnot give any test. My supervised prof.and other profs take only oral test.I guess if u r nominated by university so its totally depend on ur supervised prof.Best of luck.

I did not have any oral interview. All selection process at Toyohashi University of Technology is based on documents only. It is very unusual... as far as I know, it is not the case in other universities like Hokkaidou Daigaku.
Anvit Tranvankar applied to both at the same time; I know he had a phone interview in the latter, I am sure he can further explain you what the interview was all about.
