I was applied through japanese university, unlike the embassy, i have to win university recommendation at first, so that respective university can recommend to MEXT and I made it, I got the university recommendation. The university had submitted my application form and etc to MEXT for final decision. Just like the stage in emabssy application which someone had passed the interview, got the LoA and wait for the final decision from MEXT that would be announced in next year. I was in this kind of final stage, waited for the final decision but don't get it. My prof never turn down to me so as his university. The MEXT did. You know what I mean?

I see, I get what you mean. And honestly, I'd never thought to apply through the japan university first, which I seriously think will be more guaranteed to get the scholarship. I never thought to apply it in that way because I saw the MEXT scholarship application through the embassy, so... Again, I felt the same as you do, wondered why MEXT turned you down when everything else're settled and accepted.
Anyway, feeling sorry for you again, hope you will apply again next year, 'cause I can see that you must be really good since the japan university and professor had actually accepted you.

regarding your plans, i think university recommendation has a higher chance than embassy recommendation. so maybe next time, you can choose another university. i am not sure but that is what is in my mind.

Choose another university? I don't know but I still prefer my current research topic.
Now I'm facing a problem about how to face my prof. No matter how, embassy or university, I still have to wait for at least a year, should I tell him to wait for me or I just quit?
i'm sure there are other professors in other universities that can supervise you on your topic.
but if you don't want to change university, maybe you can search for other scholarships.

i don't know, maybe different university got different policy on this timing, i don't know
but for kyodai is out, i think for osaka is out too.
i don't know whether the result for kyushu U is out or not...
i only know result for kyodai and osaka are out.
i never know there is any position ranking for university recommendation
i am still sad no matter how...
