Because my understanding of Japanese is extremely limited, so is my vocabulary. Hence there are a vast number of words (especially kanji) that I completely do not recognize, like zip zilch nope no dice nada don't know. Therefore I can only identify the words I do know in a sentence and essentially guess (and I mean GUESS) and fill in the blanks for the remaining words I don't know and put together a sentence that makes sense, regardless of whether or not it fits the meaning.
