I finally got a Japanese man.......

Darn, there will come a day when I'll be rolling on the floor laughing. Wanna know when?
When people get hooked up with Japanese men/women, marry them, and after a couple of decades they realize "WOOT? He/she's getting old, this ain't what I volunteered for!" And their main company will be either an old hag or a geezer. Now how fun will that be?
But thats it, people pay the price of violating the borders of imagination and belief.
I agree with what Tsuyoiko stated above, its a matter of character, unless one's a complete airhead without intent to do anything but piss around.

I don't know if its only me, but all this halo, this soap opera-esque complicated quasi-detective story that one always hears regarding people's love lives is plainly appalling. Not only is it lacking in healthy modesty, but is a waste of time as well, and a clear and undeniable indication of a lack of maturity. There's more to life than this.

It doesn't metter if that person gets old, it's important that I love that person. But it's important that person is pretty when it's young! xD I don't care if he's ugly when he's old. That's not going to be important to me then. XD

This obsession is because you Japanese boys are soooooo damn qte! 😌

I might be a prejudiced bastard, but its likelier that I smell some inconsistency here. Im sure they're not so cute when they grow up to be grumpy salarimen. And the same for pretty much every nation.
Cause somehow I tend to associate "qte-ness" with ehm "carnal desires" on part of the speaker, and my proof to back that up would be the fact that you are entirely oblivious as to the mental traits of the said person.

just let the girl think what she likes to think now.. Tokyo Girl is 12 and her hormones don't work yet...
And like you know anything about love regarding earlier messages you once wrote about thinking it is bull ****.. Maybe you should just avoid this part if you think that way ??
I don't say myself looks are everything.. But there are men that grow old pretty (george cloony yea ! ) And well. When they get ugly (eventually) You are or divorced already.. Or you are still in love and grow ugly yourself so why mind it ??

I care most about personality in a boy to.. But I want somewhat I like to wake up next to and like to look at.. I would never date a boy with a ugly birthmark on the middle of his face or a face that is asymmetric. Maybe you think that is superficial to say. But Hey I can get almost every boy I like.. I'm small Cute Sexy and look pretty good (and that is what other people tell me) So I think that matches quite good. For people that are young and ugly are other young ugly people. Not to offend anyone it just is..
(you should now how many of my girlfriends are jalousie of the way my boy looks :D)

Eternal love and whatnot is just a delusion, and to be absolutely honest, its not only a person's look that changes over the years, but their way of thinking and personality as well. Or why do you think there are craploads of divorces nowadays? Because the social conventions or religious rules are not binding anymore, no cohesion.

Not to mention that 12 is already in the age of puberty.

Also, there is the great risk that "your beloved one" will severely misunderstand the terms of marriage. And yes, there are such things, unwritten, unspoken but they exist. And im referring to the "Dear, lets have a child." "Do you realize we can barely afford our rent?" discussions. Or when Mr Horny takes Mrs Exhausted for a hatchery.

While it can be argued that for some people its worth to step in the queue for emotional, social or monetary benefits, the opposite may be argued, holding that in all these circumstances carefree, youthful freedom is sacrificed, which is not something one should disregard.

Christ, imagine, you can't even afford to die of a heart attack or in a car accident cause what are your kids gonna eat? The furniture?

For a certainty, from the example of the masses (exceptions do obviously exist) I have come to advocate that marriage, and many pre-marriage stages resemble the the relations of cannibalistic leeches (no clue if they exist hehe). Mutually sucking each other's life out, but they both feel pleasure, while at the same time they slowly die.

Simply put, you lose most of those days, when you wake up in the morning, alone, you go to the kitchen in the twilight, make yourself a sandwich and grab a drink, then go back to bed, pick up a book, and read until its time to sleep again.

You lose some of the fire, some of your independence, your sovereignty.

My view is: we barely have any freedom in life, can we afford to lose even that little?

I really hate this Japanese men/women obsession crap, I think its quite annoying. If you have a personal preferance for a certain race sexually then fine, consider that your 'fetish' or whatever, however when it comes to a real relationship then its as Tsuyoiko-san said it comes down to the personality. What I always laughed at is how there are these girls who complain about "all men are bad" but the only type of man they go for are the physically attractive ones who due to their attractiveness are more prone to being big headed or cheats.

I'm not relating what I say to the OP btw, but I just felt I had to say something really...

What the hell is your point? Everyone gets old, no matter where they are from.

People are physically attracted to physically attractive people?! Shocking!!!

I hope you and your hand will be very happy together...

Why thank you! Thats awfully nice of you. I hope you and your mouth will be very happy together as well.

Now, I know everyone gets older, but frankly after 1000+ posts I've no patience and nerves to write each and every time that "IM NOT A RACIST!"
But by all means, jump into conclusions.

Not to mention that that personal attack line somehow seems like an attempt to try and "chastise" me for not sharing your views. This would be an assumption, is it well grounded, or can you come up with an excuse? :D

My own opinion but, simply have a relationship is a difficult thing.

so, having one with someone who have a different backgroung from you...

well, some people can do it, personnally, I can't.

I tried once, and it did'nt work.

Now, I am with the man of my dreams (he's French like me) and I am truly happy!

Hope you can become happy too^^ :-)

If you read what I said properly then you would understand I meant that a majority of woman ONLY go for physically attractive men and do not attempt to try the guy who may not be as good looking, but may offer something more. Think before you post something that might offend others.

Im certain they have an eye for wealth as well, at least after their thirties. :D

Or maybe you really mean that most women find men other than yourself more attractive and therefore you don't feel you are getting a fair try.

Too bad.

So you relate what I say to myself? I see, well think what you want I don't mind, but your obviously trying to stir something up so I've reported you.

Thanks, I will. Be honest now, how would you read desperate, insecure comments like the ones you posted if someone other than yourself had posted them?

As for "reporting" me, gosh how terrifying. I imagine that is a very convenient response to every post that makes you uncomfortable. Much better than choosing your own words more carefully.

Well actually I like to cut people a break, from the number of people talking about 'hot Japanese men/women' I would understand why someone would be annoyed, all I did was vent abit and not to anyone specifically and as I stated before I did say a majority of women do this.

Actually your the first person I've ever reported from the time I've been here, you just seem to be a person who nit picks everyones comments to try and get some rise out of them. Now let me ask you, how would you feel if someone responded to you the way you responded to me? You clearly tried to make me angry by saying rather childish comments and instead of retaliating I did the sensible thing and reported you.

I don't want to feel insecure about what I say, worried about someone like you trying to find some way to twist my words even though I believe what I say is valid.

You mean judge you by your own words? Ok, I will.

You did not judge anyone. Your comments were comments "by the way", unrelated to the discussion, they did not further it, they did not retard its course. Simply pointless and purposeless, akin to your presence here.

I would like to think I would be more careful in choosing my words in the first place.

hint, hint

My comments were in response to yours. Discussion often works like that. Stringing together declarations that you demand be immune from criticism is not a discussion.

Sadly though I see no criticism. What is the target of your criticism? If there's something you've got to say, say it. I can't ascertain your thoughts from a backhand comment. And it is impossible to logically argue with it, because it contains nothing like an alternative solution, a suggestion or detailed criticism. Anyone can make comments 'by the way', but simply, if you're not willing to elaborate, especially if it is your intention to pose as someone smart and refined, in that case do not comment at all. If even after this you fail to clarify what exactly you disagree with, you should consider looking for some different sort of pastime that involves less thinking.

In other words, a subtle reference to masturbation is not an argument. Otherwise brothels would be considered a type of intellectual forum.

Let's shut down the testosterone and get back on topic.

Hate to close the thread because a few members want to get in the last word. Put the "other guy" on ignore if you can't hold back with off topic posts.

Indeed i am going to ignore the dramatically negative posts, here is what i think about your situation.

The first thing i thought when i read your post, is that simply he wasn't in love, or didn't find the right person for him. Then i looked at your age and realized what guys at that age can be like, a lot of the time they look for girlfriend, but not know themselves if it is serious or not.

I've heard young Japanese guy's playfully say they would like to "try" dating a westerner, but a lot of them would not go much further, saying that it would be difficult for their parents to accept it.
On the other hand, i have had 2 serious Japanese boyfriends in the past, and have met their parents, spending time with them in Japan.
Just the other day i saw a Japanese-male, Western-female married couple on Japanese TV (a show about training their dog to be safe around their baby).
Don't worry dear, love will come again..
My own opinion but, simply have a relationship is a difficult thing.

i agree here, dating and marrying another nationality, places on yourself the responsibility of understanding both nationalities. One has to also be prepared that some will accept it and others do not.
This responsibility takes strength of character and you always have to do your best, even if other people representing your race really mess it up for you.
It does help a lot however, if you live in a multicultural city like mine, where there is a great variety of races and many mixed couples.

Heh,well...just move on I suppose.Just try and forget him,but also atleast cherish the times you spent together because later on it may help you become someone better..
Atleast that's my view on things.

And for Dreamer,
Yes,we all know almost everyone seems to be obssesed with the Japanese because of looks and whatnot. And sure,it amazes some to an extent to see how obessed people are..but let them be.Heh,it may not be healthy, but at least they aren't hruting anyone,ne?

Well...what pains me the most is when some of them actually come to Japan and realize that only less than 10% of the local male population fits their fantasies. Furthermore, when they realize that out of these 10%, less than 0.3% will want to get involved with westerners who do not speak Japanese it might be a sorry sight...

to quote one of my fellow students: "Yesterday I met the hottest boy I've seen so far, but...he only spoke Japanese !!"

It is well-deserved. If you are not willing to do your research and use your brains, you have no on to blame but yourself.
