This is a thread for beginners to practice their Hiragana. Can someone translate these sentences into English for me?

これ は ほん です。

それ は はいざら です。

あれ は じどうしゃ です。

Spaces are unnecessary in Japanese.

That (by you) is an ash tray.

あれはじどうしゃです。
That (over there) is an automobile. (use "kuruma" for car)

してつづけます。is not correct. Either 日本語をべんきょうしつづけます or べんきょうをつづけます。I will agree with NANGI on the latter being most natural in this case.

Also かえって implies you live at the school. If the student is only returning, use
もどって。

Hehe, but don't forget to keep your ultimate sights on NANGI-san.... He was also the one was technically right to leave かえって since there's a certain amount of overlap with it and もっとで in conversation. I'm just the nitpicky schoolmarm that keeps you straight on the formal differences.

確かにKameronさんがElizabethさんの日本語レベルにあこがれていたので、「NANGIさんのように日本語を話せるようになることが最高の目標でしょう」と提案していたと思います。「Ultimate sights」って聞いたことないけど、「Set your sights on」という表現が「志す」に訳してもいいのかもしれませんね。

And in kana with spaces:

Because three Japanese friends will come to America to study English, there will be three Japanese students in the class. といいたかったのですか？ Is that what you wanted to say ?

にほんじん の ともだち が、アメリカ に くる もくてきは、Tomiiさん の くらす に いる ことでしょう。 It sounds like the goal of your friends coming to America is to be in your class....のいみだとおもいますね。
