Help with sentence constructing

Hi everybody! One of my favorite ways to practice Japanese is to write sentences. Can you help me correct them please? Thanks!

1. 幼稚園の非常階段で遭って以来南ちゃんは私の仲良しだ 。
Since we meant on the emergency staircase in kindergarten [building], Minami has been my bosom friend.

2. 山本君は私の同級生だ。クラスはずっと一緒。こわがり だけど、他人をおどかすのは好きだ。Yamamoto is my classmate and has always been in my class. Though he is a scaredy-cat, he likes to scare other people.

3. あの噂を立ったことを告白した。でも、うわさをばらま くつもりはなかった！ I confessed that I had started the rumor. However, I had no intention of spreading one!

4. この小説は主な登場人物がたくさんある。だから、名前 を全て覚えるのタスクは優しくない。This novel has many main characters. Therefore, it is not an easy task to remember all the names.

5. 昔の世間には、男子と女子は相当不平等でした。
In ancient society, men and women were very unequal.

クラスは is not what you want to say. Because it sounds more like the class is always been together with you. A better way I think is 山本君は私の同級生で、いつも同じクラスです。彼は、こわがりだけど、（他）人をおどかすのが好きだ。(BTW This second sentence is understandable, it's just that だけど as a connector may not make for a very tidy, smooth phrasing.)

3. あの噂を立ったことを告白した。でも、うわさをばらまくつもりはなかった！ I confessed that I had started the rumor. However, I had no intention of spreading one!

噂を立った is also new to me. The literal translation of spread is what seems most generally used. 噂を流す。

あの噂を流した事を告白しました。でも、噂を流すつもりはなかった。

Minor thing: Since 立つ is an intransitive verb, you can't say 「噂を立つ」. You have to say 「噂を立てる」, so it should be 「あの噂を立てたこと…」.

This sounds a little strange in Japanese (the wording is too literally translated from English), but it's almost grammatically correct. When a verb modifies a noun, there's no need for a connecting の between the verb and the noun. So it should just be 「覚えるタスク」.
