(Old friends of mine who tried to make a picture of me (_ _') )

*I'll shall post more as soon i have time*

I can't deny i had a wonderfull time here in Japan, i wished i could stay there as long as i wanted, not only for the girls, but for many other reasons, they have the games i always wanted to have on the PS2 because some games don't come out in Europe :(

Hm. Good pics!! I want to go!! And I also want those cellphones. I've tried to find some here but no luck. Don't their cellphones double as vending cards too? SUGOI!!!!!

Nice pics Herbal. Your friends are cute. I spent a bit of time in Kobe, it's definitely a nice city. Are those okonomiyaki I see you guys eating? And chu hi??
Ah I miss Japan..

Skullcrushergirl it's not hard to find Japanese cell phones, I've had two. One was mine while I was living there and I brought it home, and after it died I bought another, a few days ago actually check it out in my blog. Just find a provider who supports unlocked 3G phones and get an unlocked phone and pop your sim card in. Not all the features may work but they're still hella cool.

I think I have some photos... they're the same ones I posted elsewhere on here because they're the only ones I actually hosted online, but they're some of my favs.

I'll post some pictures too of my trip to Japan this summer. I stayed there for a month (14 July - 12 August).

Lets start with Tokyo:

(Love statue in Shinjuku: this should be familiar for anyone who has seen the great Densha Otoko drama)

nakamiseth0-1.webp

(Nakamise shopping street at Asakusa. Great place to get souvenirs)

(A Belgian waffle stand at Akihabara station. Waffles aren't even close to as good as the ones here in Belgium though)

taikoyj6-1.webp

(Taiko performance at a matsuri of a town near Tokyo called Tamagawa where I was residing)

(Crowded streets in Tamagawa during matsuri. As you can see from the angle, yes im quite tall)

Some pictures Shin may especially like :-):

(Being the only western guy at a local matsuri does give you some advantages..)

______________

That's it for Tokyo. Anyway nice thread, I hope people will only post their more unique pictures as I did so we don't get any repetitive shots.

@ Shin: So when are you planning to go back to Tokyo ? I'm definetly going back too in March and April for at least 3 weeks (maybe 4 if I can fit it in with my school schedule).

And how come the last pictures you showed to us shows people wearing coats , and trees with no leaves ? I tought you were in Japan during summer ? hehe

@Homerduff:
i leave to tokyo this thursday.
and the last pictures are from other times, i've been this year to japan more then 3 times and this is my last one for the year 2007.
And Homerduff thanks for sharing pictures i really like the first one, it has a great meaning to many of us, and yes indeed 😊 beeing the only western guy (for you then, because if you see me you won't recognize the difference) has his advantages :p

@others: keep the pictures coming! Until now they are all so nice!

There are some very interesting photos in this thread. Here are five of mine from my 1987 visit to Tokyo. The first photo is Arai Yakushiji. The others were taken in the Nakano area:

In Nara! I like the cleanliness of the city with its immaculate streets and roads...
