*First of all, to classify my likings and so you get a vague picture of what these guys look like, Ive always fallen for the jocky wiggers. Very odd to say that, its just my taste.*๐Ÿ˜
Back in november I met a guy. Ill just say his name is Blue. (his favorite color) ๐Ÿ‘We met in an arcade and I guess hit it off right away. We were out with a group of friends cause a close friend of mine -ill just call her diva- decided to have a vast group of friends over. Her boyfriend (at the time) was friends with Blue and they decided to invite blue along also. Everyone ate, Blue enchanted me with his charm and we headed back to Divas house.
Was it coincidence?โ˜ It was Blues first time to see divas boyfriend for years and both our first time at miss. divas house. We watched a movie and such. I cuddled with Blue, but in utter shyness (sp?) resisted making out with him or anything beyond holding hands and tickling. Occasionally he would try touching me, or getting me to kiss him but at the time I was shy as anything. I didn't ever french kiss EVER.
After that night we talked on the phone a lot-- only three months later to see eachother again for my highschool winter formal dance. :pThat was when it happened. That night Diva, her boyfriend, blue, joseph, and I went out with some friends to eat din din. Well afterword they (as in the friends) headed to the dance and we(as in diva, her bf, joseph, blue, and I) headed to divas bfs house. It was my first time to get high(blues stuff).. and my first time to really kiss.๐Ÿ˜Š We went to the dance an hour after it started and when we got there, the ones we ate dinner with were entirely FRUSTRATED with our stupid decision to put our reputations on the line by smoking pot. Oh well.:-)
So anyways we kept talking on the phone and blue would occasionally come down from where he lived (about an hour away) to come and make out, get high, and have fun.๐Ÿ˜Œ Its not as bad as it probably sounds. REALLY its not bad. After a while blue would tell me he's coming down, id spend hours getting ready, and then wait only to be dissapointed for not only wasting my day but for him not to call and tell me he couldn't hang out. Weekends and weekends later I broke up with him. Yes of course I cried and to that effect my dramatic self complained to the all mighty friends of DRAMA.
Months later of not talking to Blue-- him and his friend IAN who ive talked to on the phone came down to divas-ex's-birthday-keg-party-thing. I didn't go cause I forgot. I was too busy painting a picture for this guy named .. uhm.. ill just call him bob. I grew up with bob and occasionally go to his house at night to talk and stuff. I have to confess I made out with bob after I broke up with blue. :joyful: I don't think its wrong cause I wasn't with blue anymore(we didn't talk much anymore anyway) and bob wasn't with anyone at the moment.
Well so anyways blue came down, I got a call this past saturday morning by ian from divas-exs cell phone and got so excited I could've creamed my pants.๐Ÿ˜Ž Ha ha, yeah so I got all ready. Of course that night I had to go to one of my friends parties so I couldn't spend all day and night with ian, blue, and divas ex. Well to sum it up, them and other people (joseph, sammie, tiffany, matt, adam) got drunk and blue lost the keys to ians car. They said they couldn't pick me up and Ill just say after blue stomping on my heart all that time I wasn't about to give up. Ian proposed that i should ask my ma to drop me off so later i did, she dropped me off.
When I arrived I didn't recognize ian cause ive only met him online and well divas ex was busy talking, sooo I went down to the basement in his room, looked around and decided to get on his bed and watch whatever movie they had on. I was dissapointed cause I didn't recognize ian and didn't see marc anywhere. When I sat on the bed I looked down to jasons puffy blanket and shunned away the possibility there could be anyone there. I decided to get more comfortable, so i tried grabbing two pillows from behind me. Those pillows were heavy as ****, so after seconds of pulling I look to figure out what was wrong and there goes blue turning his head from under the covers.๐Ÿ˜ฒ He had sharpie all over his face, and he looked so cute. ๐Ÿ˜Š
So the guys (i was the only girl there at the time) decided to go and look for ians keys so we could all go off and get high. Blue went to go wipe the sharpie off his face and I stayed on the bed. I later got bored cause montey python and the holy grail has long as credits at the beginning so I go outside ONLY TO SEE sammie, matt, and tiffany!! It was my first time meeting tiffany so I got excited. Well I flirted with divas ex for a little bit cause blue was an *** and I wanted to stay away from him for a while. Blue found the keys, and so we were to figure out where to go next. The guys wanted to go eat subway of course. They aren't fat asses cause they work out, but THEY EAT SO MUCH!! There were too many of us to fit in one car so I go with sammie, matt, and tiffany in sammies car.
-*-*-*-feels the need to breathe-*-*-*-
Okay so we end up having to bring tiffany somewhere, but I have no clue. I try dancing to the metal music to brighten the mood, but couldn't help notice tiffany had something wrong with her. We arrive at a house, and she sends matt in to see if some guy was acting normal. I ask her whats wrong and she says she cheated on her boyfriend. (this girl named mary used to go out with this abusive guy and broke up with him after he kirked out and held a knife to her throat) She asked me if I was still dating blue and if blue was a manwhore. I didn't know what to say because previous to my breaking up with blue, I wondered that myself.
I told her we had long broken up. She then told me she made out with him. For a split second, i felt my heart stop. I decided to talk to her because i felt her feeling better was more important than my confuzzlednuss. She then left and sammie explained all they did was make out. She then explained tiffany was somewhat a ****. She went out with matt, who was inside FOR HER... and while they were going out, she cheated on him by having sex with ty.
After hearing her say she made out with marc I was relieved. I always thought he was some sort of playa, but felt bad for even thinking asking him something I had no right to even consider. I felt relieved for the simple fact that I could think blue and I as friends without any ties or awkward desires. Would you think it better... loving someone just to love, or loving someone because they make you feel good?
Sure blue is a playa but for some reason I kind of like him a little better now. I hate being clingy and felt I needed to give marc my all. Now I feel its easy come easy go. Coming to get high, have fun, maybe even go further than making out... but just to feel good. A new love for connection between two souls to make eachother happy and escape the world for a few days. We can leave eachother and not have to call, or feel tied down. You have someone and not at the same time. Its like a good dream. Occasionally you have one and its so amazing you don't want to wake up. Eventually you have to and till the next one comes, you're left with memories that give you chills just thinking about it.
Tell me your opinion of the situation. What kind of love is better for you?
I don't really feel the need to explain what else happened that night. Tee hee.๐Ÿ˜Š:p๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

First, I'd never wait around for a guy...ever...if they don't have enough regard to call you and say they are late or not coming it is the first BIG sign that they really on care about themselves...second it's really hard to read blue writing, third I did a lot of the same stuff! :) Feeling good only lasts a short time, then it goes away...if I want to feel good now, I get a bag of chocolate...

Its not really waiting. Now-a-days its more of occasional surprises. Lol CHOCOLATE = BAD!!! Man anyone can get carried away with that food of DEATH. And you say a BAG?!?! Just a bar is total intoxication! I must say he is self centered but later that night he messaged me and asked if I was mad because he felt like a dick.

Dear Roses, my lady of the pool and the big mansion (of course only after you have made it big time with you singing--remember that conversation in CHAT way back when...?) it does sound as though you are living it up...my oh my...

Now, I can punch myself in the face for not being able to continue on with one thread I had started off here in this sub-fora. I still plan to do so, but...am so busy. That thread will eventually highlight many points that can be used in times like these.

'Love to love,' or 'love to feel good,' can both be exactly the same things depending on how you define the terms of the phrase. 'Love' as it is usually used in the sense of 'eros' is exactly that...love to feel good.

This 'feeling good in love, ' however, has a biological/neurological drive behind it, however, and thus can be said to have the deeper purpose of procreation. It is not something that necessarily lasts, and in fact does not naturally do so on its own--for a bonded couple to keep that emotional, 'love-coctail' in mind, deliberate action to do so is usually needed.

The brain, as it more correctly appears to be understood, as evidenced by a good number of studies, tends to bend towards addiction--addiction of any type. One such addition can be (and there are cases of it) that of being in love--eros. If the make-up of a person, the hardwired portion that acts along with and towards the neuropeptides that flow when this 'eros' is aroused, is such that easily becomes addicted to eros, the person will seek to keep that 'high.'

I wouldn't even try to say that there is 'wrong' in that, yet would suggest that careful thought be given the limits that a person allows the drive to over-drive all the balancing signals that come into the brain as well.

Now, all that I have said is based on one definition for the second usage of the word 'love.' If one were to define that term as 'agape,' there would be another story. For now, you will have to decide for yourself, as we can not project ourselves into your neurological system, nor you into ours. Balance yourself, would be my suggestion, be careful, and be expected to feel the downside of the 'highs' that come with it, for come they both will. The joy with the heartbreak, if you can take them both and remain balanced psychologically, then that's one less worry.

And as a final note, Roses, be careful ! MM

Wow mars, I had to read that three times. You thoroughly looked into it didn't you? I read and understand all that was said, and yeah.. maybe love to love and love to feel good could be the same thing depending on your definition of love. As for addiction to love, I think im more addicted to being aroused and intoxicated by/with a guy than being in love with him if that makes any sense at all. More in love with feeling good and having a good time with a certain guy to put it more simply. I looked into love addictions and I don't believe I fit any profile of a love addict. Hopefully not. These things are complicating. HONESTLY everyone is giving me different definitions of love and im so confused as to which is right and which is not. People have lived for millions upon zillions of years and have made kazilmilitons of definitions of love.

As for the rich and famous dream from chat oh so long ago, IM STILL WORKING ON IT. One day we are going to go swimming in a twelve foot deep pool of hundred dollar bills. Each room and all the furniture will be made of gold bricks.... with cushions.๐Ÿ˜Š:p ANNND it will be awesome.

Maybe what you are thinking of love is really infatuation or a crush. When you have a crush, or are infatuated on someone, they seem so much better than what they really are, and once that emotion wears off, you can see what is there and not what you thought you saw. I hope that made sense!

๐Ÿ™‚I appreciate your taking the time to think about it; that's great !! I am still doing research in that area, little by little as time allows. I find it very interesting and important.

Yes, I think it is as Goldiegirl has also pointed out, just above, that in this case (as you have presented your idea of your 'love of love' in post #6) the love that we are talking about is eros. It is the state of neural activity that kicks in and takes up some fairly large degree of pull (different with each individual) due to the sexual lean of the person. (usually that is a hetrosexual lean, but not always)

I understand what you have mentioned about the descriptions of what 'love' is. In most cases, I seem to find that such descriptions (as slightly opposed to a definition, in the stricter sense) are of the love which is 'agape.'

Reagarding the addiction matter, more on that later. I have to run now.

Goldiegirl:Sadly I think your right. Thats exactly what it is. He really is an ******* playa thing, but is so much fun to be around.

Mars Man: Thankyou so much for your help. I understand you are like extremely busy, so THANKYOUSSSS!!!!!11!1

Your young, have some fun. Be careful. Even though you know what he ulimatley is, you may still be hurt it the end. But it is good to learn what love means to you personally. I think as we grow our ideas of what love is changes.

As you are young Beautiful-Roses you have plenty of time to learn about life and how good it can be, as well as learning how cruel it can be.

As you know I have a teenage daughter on here and I do know what some boys the same age group as her can be like. And yes some of them are as you describe 'playa's'. It is the same from one country to another, they may be fun to be around, but once they decide to move on to another female they will, and they are the biggest group of people most at risk of spreading STD's. But Im sure there are other young men around where you live who could sweep you off your feet and bring happiness to you life.

What ever you do decide to do, have fun, play safe and make the most of life, after all it is right in front of you :)

I think that 'love to feel good' can lead to a person becoming bore with their current flame and thus hold them in contempt. Such as, when you enjoy your favorite food too much and you begin to dislike it. You may like the person as a friend, but when the feel good is gone you might ruin a very good friendship.

This is a very good thread!!! i give it the full rate!!

Well i must say it feels great when you are in love, TALKING about real love.
never wait until someones comes, no you have to take action yourself, you have to explore the world as they say. Just remember with every step and every action your doing think twice!

Live a good and healthy life first after that make enough room for a girl/boy friend.

firstly well done for a great topic :-) how does the theory that you cant live without someone fit into this? I love my hubby with all my heart at 43 I have finally found someone who I feel I could not live without. Yes i get grumpy with him, we dont really argue but we have our moments and yes there are times when he drives me mad :( times when he makes me sad to but at the end of the day I feel he is my soul mate, my lover, my friend and I love him to bits and yes it makes me feel good :-)

Goldiegirl- Thankyou. What does love mean to you? Your definition might change later, but id still like to know. Your so wise.

Emperor- Right infront of me, huh? I never thought of it that way. I know for a FACT there are a lot of playas that would just move on. I hope one day blue will realize how to treat women better. Actually all playas, not just marc.

Justin- Is such a thing possible? I have enjoyed food so much I stopped liking it for a while.. but with a person? I doubt such a thing could happen in this relationship. Blue and I rarely see eachother anymore. He usually stays with divas ex and well... divas ex is going away to art school. I won't be seeing him much anymore soon.

Herbal- Life before love, right? It sounds like a good way to live. No searching and waiting. Perhaps the perfect one will just waltz to you? Im interested to hear your story. Ive never really thought of just going on with every day life as much. Im not even sure what i want to do with my life yet. One day at a time is me. What do you do? Have you found the love of your life? I want to hear everyones stories.

MummyMia- How did you two meet?

we first met through a text chat page on the tv, sounds strange I know but we both wished each other happy birthday, we are both born on the 13th may 1964, we communicated through the chat page for 6 months then swopped mobile phone numbers through a mutual friend, It was nearly a year before we even spoke to each other for real, I fell in love with his voice as soon as I heard it :-) within a month he travelled 200 miles to meet me and I can say it was love at first sight :-) within 6 months he moved 200 miles to live with me and my daughter. this was 4 years ago. we have been married for 3 years on july 1st ๐Ÿ™‚ xxxxxxxxx

thanks beautiful one, I know it seems weird and luckily after 3 years we are as in love as we were when we first met, and yeah sometimes it's weird having the same birthday but at least he can't forget mine lol xxxxxx

Wow thats today Omadetou gozaimasu!!
Its a bit weird meeting each other like that but i was just talking about fate in another thread, if it exists then your a prime example. im glad you could find each other being loved is a nice thing.
Simular to you i asked my Gf out on her birthday (didnt know it was lol) and my birthday is in the same month so i never have an excuse not to buy her cards and something nice.

For the topic i love to love but also it does feel good to be loved too.

As for my question.. love to love or love to feel good?

As for my answer: It is the same thing, when you love, you feel good, love is the most powerful feeling ever. It's the greatest and most joyful pleasure a person can have. Oh, and this I don't preach, experts do.

Now, I'll be honest and say I didn't read all your post, I got all confused and thought it was way Laguna Beach-y. But I did read that part about you and Blue. This fella got away with it, he didn't really care about you and you need to have some dignity, which you did, by breaking up with him, but at the end you ended up losing because you suffered the most. So, I would recommend you start studying how attraction works and I took a glance at a book a female cousin of mine is reading and I think she has it going on with men, I mean, a lot of men are head over heals for her and she's not really that pretty.

The book is called Why Men Love ******* by Sherry Argov and I must say, this also helps men understand the psychology of women and talks about the rules of attraction that also applies with men, and trust me, this works!

John and Mary meet.
What happens next?
If you want a happy ending, try A.

A.

John and Mary fall in love and get married. They both have worthwhile and remunerative jobs which they find stimulating and challenging. They buy a charming house. Real estate values go up. Eventually, when they can afford live-in help, they have two children, to whom they are devoted. The children turn out well. John and Mary have a stimulating and challenging sex life and worthwhile friends. They go on fun vacations together. They retire. They both have hobbies which they find stimulating and challenging. Eventually they die. This is the end of the story.

B.

Mary falls in love with John but John doesn't fall in love with Mary. He merely uses her body for selfish pleasure and ego gratification of a tepid kind. He comes to her apartment twice a week and she cooks him dinner, you'll notice that he doesn't even consider her worth the price of a dinner out, and after he's eaten dinner he ****s her and after that he falls asleep, while she does the dishes so he won't think she's untidy, having all those dirty dishes lying around, and puts on fresh lipstick so she'll look good when he wakes up, but when he wakes up he doesn't even notice, he puts on his socks and his shorts and his pants and his shirt and his tie and his shoes, the reverse order from the one in which he took them off. He doesn't take off Mary's clothes, she takes them off herself, she acts as if she's dying for it every time, not because she likes sex exactly, she doesn't, but she wants John to think she does because if they do it often enough surely he'll get used to her, he'll come to depend on her and they will get married, but John goes out the door with hardly so much as a good-night and three days later he turns up at six o'clock and they do the whole thing over again.

Mary gets run-down. Crying is bad for your face, everyone knows that and so does Mary but she can't stop. People at work notice. Her friends tell her John is a rat, a pig, a dog, he isn't good enough for her, but she can't believe it. Inside John, she thinks, is another John, who is much nicer. This other John will emerge like a butterfly from a cocoon, a Jack from a box, a pit from a prune, if the first John is only squeezed enough.

One evening John complains about the food. He has never complained about her food before. Mary is hurt.

Her friends tell her they've seen him in a restaurant with another woman, whose name is Madge. It's not even Madge that finally gets to Mary: it's the restaurant. John has never taken Mary to a restaurant. Mary collects all the sleeping pills and aspirins she can find, and takes them and a half a bottle of sherry. You can see what kind of a woman she is by the fact that it's not even whiskey. She leaves a note for John. She hopes he'll discover her and get her to the hospital in time and repent and then they can get married, but this fails to happen and she dies.

John marries Madge and everything continues as in A.

C.

John, who is an older man, falls in love with Mary, and Mary, who is only twenty-two, feels sorry for him because he's worried about his hair falling out. She sleeps with him even though she's not in love with him. She met him at work. She's in love with someone called James, who is twenty-two also and not yet ready to settle down.

John on the contrary settled down long ago: this is what is bothering him. John has a steady, respectable job and is getting ahead in his field, but Mary isn't impressed by him, she's impressed by James, who has a motorcycle and a fabulous record collection. But James is often away on his motorcycle, being free. Freedom isn't the same for girls, so in the meantime Mary spends Thursday evenings with John. Thursdays are the only days John can get away.

John is married to a woman called Madge and they have two children, a charming house which they bought just before the real estate values went up, and hobbies which they find stimulating and challenging, when they have the time. John tells Mary how important she is to him, but of course he can't leave his wife because a commitment is a commitment. He goes on about this more than is necessary and Mary finds it boring, but older men can keep it up longer so on the whole she has a fairly good time.

One day James breezes in on his motorcycle with some top-grade California hybrid and James and Mary get higher than you'd believe possible and they climb into bed. Everything becomes very underwater, but along comes John, who has a key to Mary's apartment. He finds them stoned and entwined. He's hardly in any position to be jealous, considering Madge, but nevertheless he's overcome with despair. Finally he's middle-aged, in two years he'll be as bald as an egg and he can't stand it. He purchases a handgun, saying he needs it for target practice--this is the thin part of the plot, but it can be dealt with later--and shoots the two of them and himself.

Madge, after a suitable period of mourning, marries an understanding man called Fred and everything continues as in A, but under different names.

D.

Fred and Madge have no problems. They get along exceptionally well and are good at working out any little difficulties that may arise. But their charming house is by the seashore and one day a giant tidal wave approaches. Real estate values go down. The rest of the story is about what caused the tidal wave and how they escape from it. They do, though thousands drown, but Fred and Madge are virtuous and grateful, and continue as in A.

E.

Yes, but Fred has a bad heart. The rest of the story is about how kind and understanding they both are until Fred dies. Then Madge devotes herself to charity work until the end of A. If you like, it can be "Madge," "cancer," "guilty and confused," and "bird watching."

F.

If you think this is all too bourgeois, make John a revolutionary and Mary a counterespionage agent and see how far that gets you. Remember, this is Canada. You'll still end up with A, though in between you may get a lustful brawling saga of passionate involvement, a chronicle of our times, sort of.

You'll have to face it, the endings are the same however you slice it. Don't be deluded by any other endings, they're all fake, either deliberately fake, with malicious intent to deceive, or just motivated by excessive optimism if not by downright sentimentality.

The only authentic ending is the one provided here:
John and Mary die. John and Mary die. John and Mary die.

So much for endings. Beginnings are always more fun. True connoisseurs, however, are known to favor the stretch in between, since it's the hardest to do anything with.

That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try How and Why.

Happy Endings

Wow... that is most certainly the wisest thing ive ever read in my life. Its more gracefull to think of everyone as a story.. with, of course, the beginning, events leading to the climax, the climax (I would think as A), and then the end. How do you find this type of read? Do you know her? Is that how you view the situation also?
