Also.... on English movie posters it often says "A Hayao Miyazaki Film" or "Directed by Hayao Miyazaki" etc.... i was wondering what is put on Japanese posters?

宮崎駿監督 Miyazaki Hayao Kantoku it could mean either "Miyazaki Hayao, Director" or "directed by Miyazaki Hayao"

Try use online dictionary. For example goo辞書 - 国語・英語・四字熟語・中国語のオンライン辞書
But you have to find the 辞書形 (dictionary form?) first.
ないて <== なく (鳴く、泣く、。。。)

泣く：cry; shed tears; weep;...
鳴く：cry; 《犬がほえる》bark; (キャンキャンと) yelp; 《ねこ》mew; 《馬》neigh;...

What do you study at university?
大学（だいがく）では何（なに）を専攻（せんこう）していますか。
What do you read/major in at university?

And also any idea on what the phrase てがつけられない means?

手（て）がつけられない means "out of control".
There are many expressions using 手（て） = hand.

Hi guys!
Ok, im trying to translate my myspace page in order to make friends in Japan. I really don't know how to go about this, especially as I have used quite colloquial language.
Im going to post a few sentences each day in the hope that I get a better response than posting the whole thing at once. So, if anybody could take the time to help, here is the first bit:

"Hi I'm Dan. I'd say that I'm a pretty down to earth and well rounded guy, I can be quite eccentric, but I usually get on with the majority of the people I meet."
Is it possible to say this in a similar manner, but in a very Japanese way? Please translate for me someone.
I would really appreciate help from anyone who could take the time to help me! Thank you!!!
ps Im not really a myspace kind of guy. Ive just got it took keep in touch with old friends and to meet people who are in, going to, or interested in Japan.

I have one question everyone, it is the word されてない。

The phrase comes from this passage.

ただし、なぜかこの正論がうまく実行できない。
されてないのが現状。自分がたずさわってきたプロジェックトでもしっかり正論をつらぬいたことなんてない。

I know the される form has the meaning that something is being done to you. Anyone able to translate the above phrase.

I believe it's referring to 実行, as in 実行されてないのが現状だ.
