^^ well i didn't post in the offensive threads

Maciamo i'm not offended by the warning ^^ it was just when i got the infraction i felt hmm how can i put it hmmm

It was just like trying to save somebody who was really only filming the scene from a movie and getting slaped in the face

what i did was stupid and that is why i reported my own post it was just i didn't expect an offical warning i expected a hey could you stop the bloopering you know what i mean ^_^

I know that it was spamming but as it was spam done in an attempt to aid the forum i thought an offical warning was a little mean ^_^

I understand where you where coming from and that i did wrong it was just i ended up feeling like i was doing worse than the guy with the pics

Hmmm perhaps i'm just being over sensitive and i guess it was vigalanty action i should have dieled 999

but it was just very upsetting to meet a little hostility across the forum for trying to protect the feelings of it members

^^ But it is OK

Infractions? How would I know if I got one? I can't see anything of infractions besides what people talk of in these threads, and at least from reading these threads, infraction points seem a far worse idea than negative rep. I haven't been around so often, so I may have missed the answer to my Q, but what exactly is the purpose of infraction points? Why have them?

Well above the section for reputation another section will apear with a yellow card and a reason for the infraction and or the name of the person who gave it to you

Well at least everytime i see the yellow card it reminds me of David Beckham lol \(^o^)/

...I also remember a moderator (or someone) complaining about getting too many "bad post" notices.

it was probably too many pointless bad post notices from one person, rather than in general.

Um why is it i can see my infraction when i press view Miki78 profile under my name but can't see Mike Cash's or anybody else's who has got a infraction?

Is it becouse it is my public prifile i'm looking at?

Hey Mike Cash and CC1-

I'm up to 6 infraction points! What do you guys have?

You can get 4 for "insulting or provoking a team member." Apparently challenging any team members opinions or calling them egotistical counts.

SABRO!! you know this is not going to help, you other members and Jref!

Duch Baka, I'm trying to be helpful. Consider it a warning to others: don't do what I just did, you will be punished!

Apparently any interaction with certain sensitive team members is certain to gain you an infraction point (or four) if you in any way criticize, question, or disagree with them. I feel that information like this is valuable and sharing it is very important.

This some of you guys new already a long time ago, so don't tell me that it is important information, and what I and MM have said in another thread, please keep the peace.

So, Dutch...

If I "knew already a long time ago" it is news to me. I am getting infractions for disagreeing with a team member and pointing out what I see are flaws in his statements. To me, that is a part of discussion- challenging the other person's statements, exploring the limits of their point of view, examining flaws in rhetoric and reason... Perhaps you can remind me what you and MM said in that other thread, because it escapes me at times.

I need some clarification: Is it every team member who's opinions must remain unchallenged or is it only a certain team member's? If he is outlandishly wrong, can we point it out or is it best to just ignore him, or should we heap false praise and insincere affirmations? Do we have to agree with him or can we just pretend to agree? It would help to know what the limits are before I cross them.

By the way, I've lost all my reputation points. I'm very sad about this.

And thank you Dave, I know confrontation may be ill advised, but I've gotten infractions for what I consider rather inoccuous points. To me it is an abuse that should be recognized. If it is better however to suffer in silence, so be it.

Reputation is disabled, you can't gain any points anyways. Don't sweat about it.
If you constantly keep provoking and whining about it, and posting how much you don't like Maciamo and whatnot it will only do more harm than good.

Reputation is disabled? Is this for everyone or just me? It seems like I can still give points, correct?

And I apologize if you think I am whining or provoking. I don't remember specifically saying anywhere that I don't like Maciamo. I've never met him, but I find his behavior rather problematic, and I'm simply too stupid to let it go. I guess sometimes it is better to be crazy than boring.

It is quite possible that if I ever met Julian we would get along just fine. After all we have a great deal in common, including a deep affection for Japan and Japanese culture and a love for discussion.

Thanks for the heads up though.

For everyone, you can give reputation, but no points will be added. (basically you can give a message, nothing more :P)

No need to apologize, but you seem to write about it in about every post you make. It's offtopic also, that's why you got your last infraction.☝

please, make an announcement when you`ll decide that JRef members have to use same vocabulary (appropriate to the pont of view of ... mod and the mood of his), same attitudes and writing style, also don`t forget to mention the precise order of actions to be made when visiting JREF - what forums to visit and in what order, what posts to comment and so on...
and also what "anthem" should be on a playlist at this moment :D
like kids in a sandbox... didn`t played enough in kindergarten?
