lol here in BG the drinking age is 18 but some start drinking at the age of 10...and there is no problem with the police... it is not unusual and here everyone seem to smoke ...i know two guys who started when they were six and some others started eight and almost everyone have tried smoking till they are 13....scary but true

I think it's good to be able to test how far you can go at an earlier age with "soft-alcohol" ^^ instead of just getting totally plastered at 21.
I think ,that Germany has a good solution to the problem of drinking but then again Drinking in Public is a big part of german culture or of more or less any european country so it would be difficult to change the legal age for consuming alcohol.
Although I find american policy a bit paradox you're old enough to go to war and get killed at 18 but you're not old enough to drink alcohol??

I have been drinking since I was 13. Most of the time up until recently it was under adult (parents, uncles, aunts...) supervision. They didn't mind giving us a wine cooler at parties and stuff. It wasn't until 17 that I started drinking harder stuff.

I don't drink often, and I have never gotten like Crazy drunk that I do something I can't remember or regret. And my parents know I drink. So its not a big deal or something I have to hide except from the law of course.

Well, after the Brazil-Japan World Cup match here in Dortmund I went to town to party with friends and foreign fans, and... can remember buying a bottle of Jägermeister (which I don't even really like that much) at 8am after the night's partying went on and on and after that recall waking up on my carpet sometime after noon following a walk home in still frames as I remember them.
It was a fun night though. Brilliant weather and a warm night, lots of people, discussed politics with some business majors from Manchester University that were in Dortmund just for the partying, shared some bottles with mexican fans, talked to some japanese fans that made the trip here and had a really good time.
Although I could have done without that Jägermeister.
