Some kind of festival in Yamaguchi city.
Made with rice straw.
Nice one! Will this be burned in the end?

I could be wrong but weekdays are not that rare in Tokyo. In fact there are five of them every week.A rare weekday in Tokyo.

I'm not sure these are good enough to post, but sometimes you have to look at thing that are not quite right, or don't 'click' for one reason or another, in order to see what it is that you should have done (how a shot, even if out of your control, could have been different, and so--better).
The bamboo walk is local, maybe 20 minutes to get to the 'entrance', an hour(?) to do the circle/loop, another 20min from there home. And there's some 'elevation' as they say in the cycling world--the first half of the loop is generally up, and then down.
The riffraff are allowed to walk through part of the grounds of the Imperial Palace until about Dec 4th. I went along and took some photos. Note that the photo with the rushes was taken in Kitamaru Park, to the north of the Imperial Palace, and there's an added bonus photo of Lothor - Live at the Budokan!
It was on Sunday. It was quite busy but not unpleasantly so.Nice shots! Was this on Sunday? I thought of joining the riffraff but may reconsider after seeing the crowds.![]()
