Recently I've been been reading about the politician Yukihisa Fujita, a member of the House of Councillors, who has been addressing the diet with concerns that the Septembel 11, 2001 attacks were orchestrated by the US Government. He has also spoken at the 9/11 Truth Conference in Sydney, Austalia, and has also been interviewed by Alex Jones, a man known to promote many conspiracy theories. I'm curious as to how much support his views have inthe country. I personally do not believe that the government was involved in the attacks, but I'd like to know what sorts of views there are in Japan on this topic. I'm not trying to start some sort of debate about who was responsible. I just want to know about how many regular Japanese citizens accept the theory of government involvement and what kind of support Yukihisa Fujita is getting regarding his statements about the subject.

Yes, He has been addressing that question in congress, and I heard about that, but any Japanese news media does not cover this news at all (I don't know why). Thus it's not topical here.

It's gotten a bit of coverage here, probably because it deals with a controversial subject here. I realize that the average Japanese person isn't going to spend a lot of time worrying about the affairs of a country on the other side of the world, but I was just curious of the various feelings in regards to this issue, since it was brought up in the Diet.
