Your opinion on Japan

I was wondering what some of the members living in Japan thought about Japan? Is it what you expected it to be, or were you disappointed? Just tell us about your opinions on it, currency, and basically anything you can tell us about Japan.

can i just say, why dont you state in the title, that this thread is for those that live in Japan, not those who dont live in japan.

Baldir that's a f**** up attitude. This is a forum. You can't tell people not to post, especially since this guy was extremely nice to you. And btw i dont think somoene who can't even write a correct sentence can tell others where and what or what not to write. You started this thread but that doesn't make it yours, it is now property of the forum so anyone can write and say here whatever is in their mind concerning their topic; if you want to find out things such as this from foreign japanese residents you can alwasy go read books such Hokkaido Highway Blues instead of comin here with your pretentious attitude and startin instigations for no reason. I'd be surprised if anyone actually took the time and effort to write contribute anything here they way you started things.

He didn't tell anyone not to post. He requested that a person refrain from posting. And if someone who can't write a correct sentence can't tell others what to write or not write, then doesn't your own run-on sentence disqualify you from telling him he can't tell others what to write?

One of the reasons it is foolish to criticize the grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation or prose of others is that almost invariably such criticisms are overflowing with errors of their own.

Well, I think Bladir exhibits a bad attitude when someone pays him a compliment, and then he comes back with the comment he did.

Anyway, I think I'll just sit back and observe.

I am sorry but good manneers require that one compliments you on a thread you can't come back and tell him/her don't post here unless you have something to say. What if we all made threads with certain requirments on who can contribute or not. What if I start a thread saying only Europeans tell me what you think ? Or only people from America tell me your opinion of America? By the very nature of the forum one has to expect contribution from anyone and everyone. And when some newcomer comes ready to bully people around who have been here longer than him sorry but I can't let that slip by.

As far as grammar is concerned you make a valid point. But I just didn't have the patience to fix it and in reality I couldn't give a damm on my errors. However if you look closely I said that no one who can't write properly can't tell others where and what to write, and I didn't do that yet, having one illiterate tellin another he can't write is ok in my book

But hey since you seem to have no problem with this then plz by all means tell us your opinion on Japan

Why is everybody getting so pissy over something so small? I asked him not to post if he was unable to post in the correct way. The correct way is being able to post something concerning the topic of this thread. Well, thanks for messing up this thread. Feel free to post any opinions you have about Japan, but I will not be posting in this thread anymore. Thanks for making wild assumptions about what I meant.
EDIT: Did I take his reply the wrong way? Could it be assumed that I thought he was being sarcastic in his reply? It's almost the only conclusion one can get from a thread without replys besides "this is a good thread".
