WWII Naval Dagger Maker's mark

I recently purchased a WWII Naval dagger and found what I believe is a maker's mark on the cross-guard but could not find it on-line. I'm hoping someone will recognize it or will know where I can go to identify it. As always, many thanks for the help. See attached photos.

Japanese Dirk Marking Identification
