Wow - Something Great Happened To Me Today !!!!

After 2 weeks of eating what I wanted in Japan and not going to the gym today I exploded into my first chest workout and god my chest is cooked(worked out to the point of it quivering by its self basically). Yea I feel good for that really good. Now time to take my rather large amount of supplements and grab some tuna.

I just asked to reserve a website for a new business that I'm planning. It's gonna be a lot of work and probably some 2 months before it starts rolling. Good thing is, it might be of service to people all around the world!
More info as it starts to come!

I had the best afternoon. I met my new Japanese teacher. Wow, what an amazing person. She is so encouraging and motivating. We were instant friends. She is so happy that not only am I trying to learn to speak Japanese, but I also want to cook that kind of food. She is also going to be my cooking teacher! Yay! I am doubly blessed. :)

I'm happy for you Goldiegirl, and can feel your excitement !! Don't eat too much, though !!

@ Zaff: oooh yes, the feeling of going to the gym and getting a good workout is really good! 👍 :-)

@ maushan3: that's cool! Maybe you can post a link to the website when it's done! :p

@ Goldiegirl: it is so good to meet nice people like that. :-)

Well, for me, it wasn't exactly today it happens, but last weekend I had a really nice weekend :-) I went out on Saturday night and met some cool people, and also on Sunday I went to an 'alternative' *cough* market and made a really sweet new friend there :-) and afterwards went to my mate's house and had fun... so yeah... and I bought some stuff I had wanted for ages, so... 😄

god```I want to sleep... I have engaged myself into studying for 12 years...
I just want to put my books away and sleep whenever I wnat to...it's my only happiness..
😌

I went to this really small elementary school today, the smallest in the Kobe area, with only 19 students in total. 1窶扼 1student,ツ 2窶扼 3students,ツ 3窶扼 4students, ツ 4窶扼 4students, ツ 5窶扼 3 students,ツ 6窶扼 4 students. It was a lot of fun, and ow so different than all my other schools (average of 30-40 students a class). The school was surrounded by mountains, and they even had snakes (and monkeys... but if that is true....). It was my best day since a week, so it sure made me happy.

Other great news was that I will start teaching kindergarten kids from upcoming Saturday on a weekly basis. That mean I have to work 6 days a week, but it also means another 5窶毒 yen on the bank . Plus it would probably help me a lot, moving back to a kindergarten from Monday to Friday.

I'm having a really tough time financially at the moment, so when the tv blew up the other day I just sat on the floor and cried!! My daughter done the most wonderfull thing anyone can do.. she has just inherited a little money and she drew out this money and went and bought a new tv......not strange I know but she is only 14 :-)......I love her to pieces

Sounds like an ideal learning environment for kids and the teachers to have a hands-on teaching, which is very difficult to do in a crowded classroom. Those students are very lucky, and I hope the school like that survive.

I'm glad to hear that you had a good time there, Dave!

Aww, MummyMia, that's so sweet of your daughter! 🌹

It's not a good thing that happened today specifically, but a couple of weeks ago I met this really nice guy at this market-thingie I went to (which I think I mentioned here cos it was fun :)) and we have kept in touch by email and he emails me everyday and always replies really quickly O_O, he is so sweet. 😆 We are not 'romantically involved'... but he is a music producer. ;-)

Today my class had to host a big dinner for teachers from a local. Despite it being such a large event nothing major went wrong. My rosemarry chicken was one of the best sellers! 😄

Kinsao, Goldiegirl, MummyMia, Dutch Baka: 👍

I really like reading this thread all about the good things that have happened to people. :)
Nice one, Justin! 👍 I wish I was a good cook (well, I can do it when I put my mind to it, but...). It sounds delicious, rosemary chicken... I wonder if there is a recipes thread anywhere?
This guy I mentioned before... we are still in touch each day 😊 and on Sunday he's accompanying me at the market again this month :) and is going to come round to my place when I get back off holiday, too. 😄
Oh and another good thing! next week (Wednesday) I'm on holiday to west coast of Ireland! :) (I hope the weather is good!)

Well, I had a root canal yesterday and lived to talk about it! So I guess that qualifies as something great!

:D :D :D :D :D

Glad you are okay, Jeff! I've never had a root canal, luckily, but it sure sounds painful.

I wanted to add - I've been as happy as a sandperson since Wednesday night :) - that, after much thought and discussion, I have decided to keep my boy 'under consideration' (which means he is under consideration to become my property). This will be confirmed when we meet on Sunday. It's a serious thing for both of us and of course only time will tell if it will work out (the whole purpose of a period of consideration!) but we're both happy (<- understatement of the century) about it. 🌹 😄

After staying awake all through last night as our beloved daughter, she who brought us the new tv out of her own money a couple of weeks ago, had a school trip down to London and someone needed to be awake in order to wake her up at 4am, both myself and her mother noticed that she was very nervous about going to school at 5am in the morning and that she may be waiting around on her own, the thought of which is something we didnt like, it was a blessed relief that we got a phone call at 5.15am from her that one of the teachers had turned up and she was no longer alone at such an ungodly hour.

The school is 120 years old, and the village is a very rich village... They'll survive.

Thanks for the sweet words... as always.

Not to worry, all went well with the procedure. The only pain occured after the novacain wore off, but I was given painkillers to deal with that. Still, it's nothing I'd wish on my worst enemy if I had one. Meanwhile, I'm glad all is well with you.

:-)

I decided to fork out 5$ for Foldgers Gourmet Hazelnut Creme coffee (grounded). I'm having a cup right now, and it tastes soo good :D.

Well, I only rediscovered this thread about a week ago having forgotten about it. *Slaps self on wrist*

And I am in college right now waiting for my Parapsychology "course" to start. It's enrichment week and we all sign up for different activities. They had a few language ones like Spanish taster and Italian taster, but no Japanese one. I will have to have words with the language teachers.

Because I always try to look on the bright side of life, I just want to say that I got my new visa yesterday. A 3 year visa this time, so I don't have to do all this stupid paper work anymore for the upcoming years

Today I had lunch with my ex girlfriend, we have a complicated history together, and I finally feel like we are moving past our relationship and moving on with our lives. I feels pretty good.

That's really good, marsans. I admire that you can move on in that way, especially remaining friends. 👍

Today I realised that I only have two more weeks of college left and then I am done for the year! I obviously have another year to go but, I AM DONE FOR THIS YEAR!!!
