I heard about this guy on the CBC (Canadian) radio show "Q" today, 5th of April, 2012 (US based)

This guy can speak 23 languages.

I believe that fluency in "just" three or four languages would already be quite an achievement.

I wish I could increase my langauge skills.

College is for the rich (imo) and dumb jobs cut into study time.
I've been thinking of asking my boss if I could work only 4 days a week
so I could enjoy life a little more - including studying langauge, even if it is only for me.
I've read "In Praise of Slowness: How A Worldwide Movement Is Challenging the Cult of Speed"
And I wouldn't be the only one who wants to work less hours.


People work less days a week for going to school.
Maybe I can tell my boss I will be doing independent study, but not officially enrolled in a class?

Sorry for off topic up there (also college is for people who have a direction in life, I guess).

I'd like to see 2nd languages be mandatory in all American schools.
Someday. The US, for one, has never been a mono-lingual country in any of its history.
Think of all the jobs your kids could get...

Either of you know more thand English and (I presume) Japanese?
