Why Sony lost its fame against Samsung and LG

As far as I know, Sony company was the oldest, greatest and most famous company of electronic devices in the world in the past decades but in recent decades the name of Sony and its productions was faded in compare with those newer South Korean companies.

Now, I see the name and productions of LG and Samsung everywhere and every shop in the market, while the minority of the productions are Sony.

Why? What's the reason of this reduction of production and losing reputation of Sony company against the giant companies, LG and Samsung?
