It is rare but you can see blonde people among modern Kyrgyz people.

One interesting thing is some children tend to be blonde but their hair darkens to dirty yellow or even to brown,black especially in Turkmen and Krygyz nations.

As our relatives told me my father was blonde when he was a boy.His hair gradually changed to black.(Now grizzly due to age )

My sister was also blonde but now her hair is somewhere between brown and dirty blonde.

If not, then you're not 0% "Asian".
Race isn't so simply as terms commonly used in America like "white", "hispanic", "asian" and "black".

I dont see how this could be a new finding. It's obvious...or at least to me it is. I'm sure other average people like me could of told the university scientists about this.

Between this and the Baybars, I'm intrigued. You, sir, know some serious history. Much respect.

Overall, genes are wierd stuff, and the Turkic-speaking peoples of Central Asia are a prime example of how genes and language don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. Blonds and red-heads in the Tarim Basin? Black-haired nomads in Ukraine? Happens every day in the wild world of history.

My father was Canadian-born but originally of English descent. My mother was pure 日本人。 I was actually born with blue eyes, but now I have green ones.

I don't think there is a particular formula for how Asian or white a child looks depending on which parent was which, although I've heard people claim that when the mother is the non-caucasian the child looks more caucasian vs. the opposite case. I've met a few 'hafu' myself and I can always tell they're 'something' but its never really clear precisely what until we exchange introductions and ethnicities.

Half-asians (in my opinion) look a little like those from the countries bordering China, like Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan:

If we look at this 'typical' presentation of Khazakhs they possess some of the features of an 'Asian' person but do not fully resemble someone from Japan, Korea, China, etc. The skin is not as fair, the eyes are not as narrow, etc. And of course, there are people from China who wouldn't fit that description either, I'm clearly speaking in generalities here.

I've also heard outsiders say that half-Asians resemble Mauri and/or Samoan individuals.

I think it really comes down to outside perception, which in turn is based on a person's education and level of exposure and familiarity with various ethnocultural groups and their dominant characteristics. The varying level of 'Asian' resemblance dictates what group an individual will most likely look similar to, however, a persons ability to pinpoint what exactly that is will be determined by how familiar they are with the who's who of the world. I know some people from small town Canada who'd simply call everything from native Aboriginal to Philipino to Mauri 'Chinese'. I mean look at the southern states of America following 9/11, people were chasing Sikhs with baseball bats for God's sake.

But genetics vary too greatly to say whether there's an inherent pattern. Political correctness usually negates the discussion altogether. One thing that's for certain, the white kids don't consider you white and the Japanese definitely consider you gaijin. Hafus are a group unto themselves.

In more urban areas, where you get lots of immigrants, I've seen half-Asians pass for both. In some parts of the U.S., whiteness isn't necessarily skin-related. Besides, some people tan so much, you can't tell if they are white or brown during the summer. What's the point? Besides, whiteness where I come from means you eat Wonder Bread and can't stand anything spicy or more adventurous than hot dogs and chicken nuggets. Hence, Jews, Greeks, and Italians aren't white. Being white isn't necessarily a good thing in parts of NJ. It means your family is boring.

To answer the OP's question, I have to use my own experiences. I get asked if I'm Mexican a LOT more than if I'm Asian. My skin tone is darker but I don't have the "slanted" (for lack of a better word) eyes and I have very long eyelashes. Also, my hair is a dark to medium brown. I don't get labelled as being Caucasian, but neither do I really get labelled as Asian. I guess it's a case by case situation.

My father's caucasian my mother european, but i don't even resemble an armenian person, sure, yeah i inherited a few things from my father as well, but if i don't tell it to people they won't notice. Even my eyes i inherited from my mother. I have mid-brown hair, and relatively light skin, lighter than most hungarians around. They don't notice that im half armenian, no one noticed so far.

It always seemed strange to me that when another race mixes with the white race, the outcome is usually a much better looking person than say if two Asians or two whites mixed. Besides, the other than white racial features are usually more prominent and refined.

The mixing of Euro/asian, black/asian, Black/white, Indian/Euro, etc. seem to produce some of the most beautiful women/men in the world. I've always wondered why that is so.

Depends on the genes and chromosomes of both parents that make the "asian gene" more dominant than the other. Not all half asians have asian eyes, or the hair. So yeah x]

I being blasian (black/filipino and japanese), do not look as asian as my other siblings. However I have a few features (like long hair and tanned skin tone), that make me looked mixed. And at times when people see me, they would refer to me as "chinked out"/

My brother has green eyes, but he looks very asian, and has fair skin tone.

Heh, it's not just Central Asians who look Eurasian naturally. Sometimes it happens without "mixture" in countries that are not Eurasian themselves.

My son is a halfie....Im an Aussie female and hubby is a Jboy.Hunter has blue eyes like me and my white skin. He has dark brown hair but his eyes are his dad's shape. Most Japanese people dont know he is half untill I tell them but westerners know immediately. I think he looks more gaijin than anything but who knows how he will end up....
