which place is better?

My room.
Well, seriously, even though I don't go there as much as I wanted to since I have no time and money to waste, I'd have to say Akihabara. But since I dislike shopping, my opinion of which place I think is the best shouldn't be taken as an advice what so ever for your trip to Japan.

:p okie .. i guess i'll stay in Ikeburoku maybe.. since there are a few shopping centers in there ...
btw.. can i check if i should get the JR pass or take the night coach from Tokyo to Osaka?

It depends on how long you're going to be there and how much traveling you want to do. A one week JR pass will cost around 30,000 yen if I remember correctly. The shinkansen from Tokyo-Osaka and back can cost you over 10,000 yen, but if you're not planning on doing much else it wouldn't make sense to get the pass.

hmmm actually i'm planning to visit kyoto and kobe and yokohama too.. but i guess it shouldn't cost that much huh? the only one that cost more will be the trip from Osaka to Tokyo... (2 ways) i've checked the price for the night coach... it will cost about 10000yen though (2 ways)...

I'm going to Osaka on the night coach in mid-february. It's 3,800 yen on the weekdays, and another 1,000 yen for weekends and holidays
