I finally found another Liz Phair fan. Most people I know have never heard of her.
Haha, yeah, I think I picked up a couple of tracks from my younger sister, and now I probably have the majority of her albums, all but the last are good in my book, with some hits or misses here or there, her last self titled albums simply seems to be someone doing a parody of Liz Phair... if HWC is the answer to Flower, then, I think she's just trying to sell herself as shocking....
anyone who includes Galaxie 500 in their playlist deserves a reckoning on whatever else they listen to, in my book!
To carry on, I don't see many people who even know who Galaxie 500 are... never was a big fan of Luna, I'll maybe have to go back and readdress their work, but you can't really ignore a band that at the very least has an ex-Feelies member.
Here is my current Japanese
Pop playlist... Some of it runs into the "Urban" teritory, but it's all still basically pop... It lacks a lot of other stuff, more indies based, (like Green Melon, The Plastics, The Spoozys, etc) because I haven't picked up my HDs from New York yet, and all my music is on there--- this basically constitutes what I took w/ me since I left Japan, and what I've put together piecemeal to serve my happy-bubbly Pop cravings...
I'll note that though I'm not a big fan of what constitutes Visual Kei (any more... I mean, who around here remembers Glay...), Aguro Kei, or Oshare Kei, my tastes run basically hot & cold, from catchy bubbly idol pop, to Merzbow / Gore Beyond Necropsy / The Boredoms (who made the soundtrack to Koroshiya Ichi) / Guitar Wolf & Thee Michelle gun Elephant... I am however, absolutely no fan whatsoever of (
any) Boy bands, the likes of such as V, or anything for example, made under the
Johhny's Jimusho banner... I don't like boy bands, period.

Let's just say I'm not a collector of 320bit complete-discographies & every flawless VOB file released... But, I make no bones about it: I just dig the girl pop,
mang.
