What to do for three months in Tokyo

Hi All,

I have just been told by my boss that I am to spend three months in Tokyo on a contigency basis and so have been warned that boredom might become a problem.

So my question is what is there to do in Tokyo for three months. My only interests are the internet and horse racing. What is the Japanese horse racing scene like? I have tried google and it does not give much info.

There are several places (WINS) where you can bet, you can also bet over telephone, and there's one racecourse in Tokyo.

Horseracing is widely popular in Japan, but the information available in English or other foreign languages is limited, especially on the Web.

AFAIK, there is no betting over the Internet for Japanese horseraces.

Regarding racecourses, there is also the Nakayama Keibajo, which is also a popular horserace track for Tokyoites. It is located in the eastern outskirts of Tokyo, so it's not far from the city center.

Both Tokyo and Nakayama racecourses are conveniently accessible by commuter train, especially on horserace days. (To get there, just manage to get to the nearest railway station on horserace days and follow the crowd from there. )
