I started wondering what do the parents and/or older people in Japan think of Visual kei. Do you know anyone, who has a child that dresses in VK style.. Because it seems to me that parents in Japan are quite tolerable towards bizarre styles.. or am I wrong?
Also what are your thoughts on it? What are your reasons for liking or disliking it? :)

I don't know what to think really.

But basically I cannot see the harm in fashion and I do believe this hum drum world and country could use a fashion movement.

Ever look at pictures of the fashions throughout history and wonder how the hell we ended up with blue jeans, T-shirts and suits and ties? Could fashion be in an any more drab state?

So while I may not necessarily be in love with visual kei, at least its something.

I belong to what you call "old people" and don\t dislike Visual Kei.

In fact, Visual Kei style isn't perceived as outlandish or eccentric as it used to be a while ago. People may not like it but tolerate it. There is a lot of exposure of people dressed in Lolita style and what not on the media, it's almost mainstream (fashion-wise).

Kyarii Pamyu-Pamyu and Gold Bomber are featured often on national TV. Gackt is doing TV commercials and variety shows.

Sorry, I did not mean any disrespect by writing 'old people', I mean it in a way to say 'older generations'. Thank you for your answer. :)
