Seeking Want to know whether my Japanese father is still alive or not.

My Father is Hibino Takashi, born on December 4, 1938. He was born in Osaka, youngest of 3 children. His mother was a nurse and died due to breast cancer. I believe his brother's name is Hiroyuki. He is married and has 2 daughters, Yuko and Junko. He survived Esophageal cancer and had a major operation in 1996-1997.

I just want to know whether he is still alive and well. I haven't heard of him since 2016. I am not particularly looking for him, if someone can help me check if there is an obituary or to know whether he is still alive or not, I would really appreciate it and be forever thankful. Thank you!

Hopefully, someone who knows him will see this thread. I found a person by the same name (日比野 隆司), an executive of Daiwa Securities, but he's probably a bit younger than your father. Do you happen to know what he did for a living?

I appreciate the response. Yes, I've been googling him for some time now. The one who is an executive of Daiwa Securities is not it. My Dad was an Overseas Marketing Manager for a Milk factory (I'm not sure what company though). So basically his work involves a lot of travelling. My Father's cousin is Kondo Masayoshi (he used to own a chicken meat factory) and had one daughter, Kondo Yuko (according to my dad, she won karate in her prefecture). I know my information is too vague to find a particular person, because all of this information was just from the stories my dad used to tell me.

Well, no worries, I'll just have to save up and find him in Japan myself in a year or so. Thank you so much!
