There are a lot of different ways to say this, depending on the context and how poetic you're trying to be. What's the intended purpose for this phrase?
you could try to directly translate but it's a little wooden:
苦しんだことがないのは恵まれたこともない（のです,） - not having suffered is also having not having been blessed. The last bit in parentheses is to make it a full grammatical sentence.
A little more streamlined:
苦しまない者は恵まれない者 - one who doesn't suffer isn't blessed
Written vertically it would be the same characters written top to bottom, and if there's more than one line, you start at the rightmost line, read down, and work your way left.
single line:

ま
れ
な

in two lines it would look like:
恵 苦
ま し
れ ま
