I voted, and thank God this campaign is coming to an end. I've been sick of it for the last 8 months.

And during all of this did nobody notice that the worlds second largest country had an election almost a month ago? It does, after all, have the world largest undefended border with the US.

It's been fun to watch the Fox News reaction, they're already praising Bush and talking about his "legacy." Nary a word about Obama.

Well, I voted for McCain and have no regrets doing so.

One main concern (besides the war on terror and the economy) is that our 401(k) plans are in jeopardy. Congress is looking to take them over and have the Social Security Administration administer them.

The current economic mess is owned by the Democrats. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were run by Democrats, and they contributed heavily to the Democrats. It was their idea to force them to provide unsecured home loans to people who could not normally qualify and who had no business taking those loans.

In 2005, there was a House hearing in which Democrats led by Barney Frank and Maxine Waters fought Republican efforts to rein in those mortgage giants. There's a YouTube video of this. Check it out.

Christopher Dodd, Barney Frank, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson and Jaime Gorelick, all Democrats, were responsible for this mess.

Bush's efforts to reform Fannie/Freddie (beginning in 2001) were stymied by these people.

The USA may not have been (on US soil at least), but others have been getting it in the neck (London 7/7, Madrid, Bali etc)

I'm all for resisting Jihad, but the War on Terror was/is a god-send to the Jihadists. The USA (and the UK) has been played for a fool, and I fear Obama will overcompensate in his eagerness to roll things back and make the situation even worse.

I see that more than 52% voted for Obama in this JREF poll. I wonder if they could also answer honestly these questions posed to Obama voters. I doubt very much they could. On the other hand, the same could probably be said of the majority of McCain voters as most voters have nary a clue as to who they are voting for or who is even in power. Such is the sad state of the typical American voter: they have not a single clue, but follow as sheep what they are told by the mass media and just proves my point of the vast power of the media in swaying peoples opinions and swaying them to vote in the direction they want them to vote.
