finally we are in the beginining of June... oof this wait is really too much. Just another 3 to 4 weeks left .

soooooooooo, i was selected through my university for mext(1 semester exchange oct - march) and i am a foreigner in another country and the university that granted me the exchange later tells me mext wont cover my transportation cost unless i come from my own country?? like, what?! what then was the point? its so darn expensive paying for myself to and fro. guys, is this exchange worth my spending of almost 2k dollars for flight to japan?

kenador64.. while applying for mext scholaship through university it clearly mentions we should be a citizen of a country having diplomatic relationship with japan,. if its a students exchange programme its and inter university exchange prog.. if you are an international student in your current univ and they have granted this exchange prog then i persume its thier liability to send you to Japan.. please check up..

hey nguyenledu, I applied for Hiroshima Uni. On the notice that was sent to me via mail, it says first week of July. But I'm guessing that our professors might have a clue if we passed or not by this time.

Hi everyone. I'm so happy that I received good news from Nagoya University. I'll be there in beginning of October. However, I must pass an entrance exam to become Master student, and I don't know what happens if I fail that exam. Does anyone know ? Will the scholarship be terminated ?

usually if you got the scholarship already then your entrance exam is only formality. i done master entrance exam already (Only interview and presentation about your research) and they said i already pass

Gratz . However, in Nagoya Univ, I still have to take an exam in the end of November, including: mathematics, physics, and English. I think it's not formality :-s and I'm a bit nervous

congrats ngocanh23, you study master so why you have to take an exam mathematics, physics. It's so much for master ^_^. Anw, i think you needn't worry about it, importantly you have passed this scholarship. What the field you will study in Nagoya ngocanh?

It's a "special admission exam for international students" who want to study master in graduate school of engineering. I asked my Japanese prof and he confirmed it. I'll study on aerospace engineering

I just emailed my professor and Hirodai student support office. I hope they will reply today. I am dying here. To everyone, good luck this week!

Hirodai support office said they will release the results around June 20. Another agonizing week of waiting.
