University Nomination - MEXT Scholarship

Hi,
I am new comer in this thread. Its sad to hear about your result. I would like to cheer you up. However, yesterday I called to IO in Osaka Univ again. They said they dont have result yet (Japanese- English is hard to hear properly). It will come to this month and if he has any information he will inform us intermediately. So far, MEXT doesnt make decision yet.

Can someone call them again and tell us? I am really confused because i cant hear them properly because i called them via skype (i am not in my country now). So, I am not sure if i can hear enough all infomation they gave me.

Hello, I received the Results of MEXT by email from the International Office of my Faculty, they confirmed that I'm a selected as a Japanese government scholarship.

They will send me the official certificate and other necessary documents for my Visa procedure via post as soon as they receive it from MEXT.

I hope that all of you receive your results this week

Yep, I didn't know that Japanese Studies could be through University Recommendation before. Well, I will try the regular Japanese Studies program

Hi, could you please tell us what university you apply for? And is it special program or normal one?

I applied for Biotechnology Human Resource Development program and it should be special program in Osaka Univ. I still dont have result yet. How about you?

But could you please tell us more about your case? Do you know why you were rejected? As i understand, you are not nominated by university and if your program is special or normal one? Because it seems unusual when you were rejected. I am so confused....

Hey

I applied for Linguistics, so it's a different department but the same University. Still waiting for the results. Hope they'll be sent soon.

They said the results should be out at the beginning of July, so any day now.. Hopefully this week!

Last March, Hokuriku University was offering a recommendation to submit to MEXT for Japanese studies at my university. It was all a sudden, and after a speech selection, I got selected by my university. I think it's a normal university recommendation.

I think the reason I got rejected is because my answers in the form. My GPA is fine (3.90) and I also have JLPT N3 certificate. (so, good grades does not guarantee)
I did some mistakes in grammars and particles when I filled out the form which I realized after I submitted all the documents. (I don't know whether other programs should write in Japanese or not)

Like the question "What academic field do you want to study in Japan? (日本でどのような学問を学びたいか)"
The form gave me space 27 lines to write but I only wrote 3 lines. (I didn't know what to write that much lol)

Also the question "Description of desired employment to be sought after returning to your home country. "
Could you believe that I answered "絶対に日本の会社で勤めたいです。今までずっとJapan Foundationで勤めたいんですけど。"
Bad answer and wrong particle lol

Btw, I also I don't have any awards to write or submit. I wonder if awards also effect..

Thank you for your informative answer but i am confused what the form you wrote because i dont have to write anything like that.. Maybe because we are applying in graduate program so there is some difference... Can I ask you more about last March you mentioned? Its the March this year or March in last year? Thank you. I am still looking forward for the result. Maybe, the graduate's result is still not released yet.

Hi crosstime.
I applied to so many schools and scholarships abroad before getting a scholarship. Perseverance is the key. Never give up. You can do it.

BTW, MEXT results are out at Keio.

I originally applied way back in February, but the Uni Recommendation was sent to MEXT in mid-April. Good luck!
