In ほんとう に ちいさい です (hontou ni chiisai desu) I am having trouble understanding
what the に (ni) particle has to do with either ほんとう (Chiisai) or ほんとう (Hontou).
Can anyone explain to me what the ni is for? Any help is appreciated.
そして (Soshite),
I have gone through some Pimsleur lessons and made some notes on particles
I have learned.
WA= SUBJECT MARKER, also for descriptions/COMPARISON
GA= Can do?.!, Want to do?.! (EXCEPT GATTE) IS THERE?.! It is (exception of de)?.! NEED?.!
O=TO/WILL DO?.!, IN HAVING(in asking aswell)?.! USED WITH GATTE
MO=ALSO, AS WELL AS
NO=TO TAKE POSSESSION OF
KA= QUESTIONS
NI= AT(TIME), IS(LOCATION, Asoko ni imasu), FOR(person/thing) add wa for comparison.
DE=HERE(LOCATION), IN ("DORU DE ") Add "wa" for it is (doru de wa takasugimasu)
TO= WITH
NE= ISN'T IT?
If anyone would tell me why the wa, ga and o can't work in some sentences I would appreciate it.
Pimsleur has not gone into much detail about that.
