Well, newcoming members, i very rarely come to this section to greet you.
You know why? Because i am local unwelcoming, mean, gloomy, grumbling
Obaa-san (or Baba Yaga, in Russian) :devilish:

what do you hope to hear posting your threads in this section. He-he-he.
Every one wants warm welcome. Smth like we need you, we want to hear from you soon, feel yourself at home. Huh?

An evening of russian idioms
feel yourself at home, but do not forget that you are the guest.
Hey! Take off these muddy boots at the door. Who said that you can turn
this TV-set on?! And don`t touch anything in the kitchen!!!!
No, moderators are buzy right now, don`t bother them use FAQ. Don`t know
how?! Then sit and muffle yourself with the cloth
Want to learn, or looking for smth - miraculous button "Search" shall
answer most of your questions.

Want warm and not just for check-mark greeting ? Then make an introduction alike! So, Obaa-san would open her eyes wide (trying not to drop an eyeball into the glass with favorite jaw) and utter 窶朦窶框 窶樞?。窶樞?壺?柆窶桎窶柝 窶榿停?柆窶柢窶柆!!!! ( which is almost like "Holy s***t!!" - don`t worry, Obaa-san allows herself even worse cursings)

*yawns and finally drops an eyeball into the glass* Damn it!!! You know ancient, old and moderatly mature members: yours emotionless and automative * mumbles mocking * welcome to the JRef and have fun! is not really what Obaa-san wanted to hear at her early ages :(
good word pleases even a cat
if you have nothing to say then there want be much harm if will not leave your message

*catches the eye* Slippery, bastard, we`ve got to go. * mounts the broom* See you, folks
...

and welcome to the forum :D :D :D

p.s. the cause

Be Glad, Be Very Glad !!!!

I can't welcome you with a big hug & slimmy ol kiss! I GOT A GREAT IDEA !! I have several animated avatars that say "WELCOME"; we could each have a slightly different welcome avatar blinking under our user name doing auto-greetings 24/7!

Frank

😊

I have heard of "taking the Mickey", or "taking the piss". It means making fun of something by degrading it.

Sorry, English phrase and a polite way of saying Taking the P1$$ 👍

Well, i guess, it is allowed from time to time ☝

Thanks for explanation, people 🙂
