Yes, in regards to the flags that I posted, I appreciate the responses. I decided not to purchase any of these flags as at the price being asked for them, since if they turned out to be fakes it would be too much of a financial loss.

The left end kanji is illegible, but judging from the rest, 8 might refer to August.

Thank you. August 1942 is likely based on the fact that this leather holster is of World War II vintage. It appears original to that time frame and not stamped recently.
