Training Room in Kanji

I am currently working on a script for a short film that is based in Japan. For authenticity, I want try and use some Kanji in it. The subject matter of the film involves mochi making and a scene is set inside a training room. The closest Kanji I could find for 'training room' is as follows:

稽古場

However, I am sure this means something along the lines of gymnasium so it might not be suitable for the context. Can anybody provide me with the correct Kanji that would be used for a training room where mochi cakes would be made?

I thought mochi pounding was usually done outdoors....

To be honest, I've never heard of mochi being made in a 'training room' - though I'm still not sure exactly what kind of training is involved.
Mochi is made either in a kitchen using small electric device, or outside of a house when people use traditional wooden mortar and pestle.

Done the traditional way, you definitely want high ceilings for mochi pounding. Probably why the 青空調理場 was (and still is) used.

Would 青空調理場 deffinatly be used? And what would the the romanji for it?

Those are mochitsuki done in a shop or hall, not at ordinary home. Is that your aim?

Now you're trying to be helpful? Make up your mind on what kind of responses you want to give. If you want to argue over whether or not it's done indoors (and I've seen it being done so) then that's fine but there isn't a need to be bitter or sarcastic over it. @ Toritoribe: Yes, it is based in a workshop. I might also provide a reminder that it is an animated short involving rabbits, being derived from the moon rabbit myth.

The character(s) need practice to do mochitsuki in there for some reason, right? I would use 窶氾ｻﾂ習ﾂ湘ｪ[renshūjō].

Yes, the room is for practicing mochitsuki since the story involves a rabbit being assessed and graded on whether or not he can do it successfully. Thank you for your kind help.

If the testing is being done in the room, then it is a 試験場 instead of a 練習場.
