Top 10 films NOT to see...

This is a sister thread to Tim33's top 10 fav movie thread. List those cinematic dungheaps you forked out good cash for only to wish you could get those two hours of your life back... heh. :smash:

I'll start (in no apparent order):

1) The "official" Dungeons and Dragons movie. My gawd... what were those folks thinking? Too bad they didn't approach Peter Jackson to do this one.

2) Pluto Nash + Haunted Mansion: Eddie, Eddie, Eddie... how far we have fallen. The King of SNL seems to have lost his magic touch...

3) The Piano: My apologies to those of you who actually enjoyed this film. Don't even get me started...

4) Spice Girls movie: The title says it all don't you think?

5) BR II: While I loved the original for it's freshness, the sequel really didn't do the fans any justice despite having some returning cast. "Ridiculous" comes to mind...

6) Devilman the Movie: Uuuggghhh... *The Pain* One of my most favored animes finally gets brought to the big screen only to be... *Loses will to go on...* Cameos by Bob Sapp and Konishiki don't help either... If I had to rate this movie from 1-5 stars I would give it a generous 1 only because the female love interest is pretty frickin' hot (of course she gets decapitated in the end so I guess that means... half a star?)

7) Glitter: Just plain WRONG.

8) Charlie's Angels: Sucked. No comment on the sequel since I had no desire to see it (although Demi was lookin' pretty fly from the promos...)

9) ANY Steaven Seagal/Jean-Claude Van Damme movie in the past decade. These dudes used to be cool... what happened? heh.

10) Jaws III and IV: I was rooting for the shark...

Honorable Mentions: Any film with that "Hey Vern" guy. Any film with Bobcat Goldthwait in it ("Police Academy" series) EXCEPT Shakes the Clown (frickin' genius that one!). Any Pauly Shore film (he's probably just happy someone still remembers his name...). Any film with Shannon Tweed/Doherty in it (do I even need to explain?). Plus too many more to mention...

Yeah it sucked beyond comprehension !

1. scream 3

after seeing part one, i know what will happen.. and after seeing scary movie,, i just only laugh about this movie.. ( nice to laugh about a movie, but not when its shouldn't be funny)

2. Chucky
I just dislike any movie with dolls hahaha.. put a shotgun on his head, cut him in pieces, burn him, put him under the ground for 300 meters ( wow) ... why make so many chucky movies

3. Glitter ....
didnt even see it.. just reading the reviews was painfull though.

4. Best of the best 4..
this movie had NOTHING to do with all the other parts ...

5. Predator VS alien ...
man this movie was soo bad.. this had NOTHING to do with the normal movies, and the woman who win on the end , almost cried when she needed to say goodby from the ugly predator........

6. Brain death
, the movie from peter jackson, this was sooo disqeusting!!!! funny to see a peter jackson movie,, but way to much blood, and wierd!!!

7. Showgirls
( hate it or love it... ) girl from saved by the bell in it ( I LOVE SAVED BY THE BELL!!!! ) made by dutch director

8. Crossroads ....
Why did i see this movie?????????

9. dude where is my car ...
well the dude where is my car.. was just too dry ... some parts where funny some where just to stupid.

10. THE CABLE GUY ...
if he would knock on my door just 1 time.. i would already put his cable in his......................... this movie is the most anoying movie i ever saw in my life!!!!


great to start a thread about this .. but yes there are to many bad movies in the world.. i think i can come up with more in the future!!!

What about Arnold Schwarzenegger movies? I've seen one called "Running Man" which was just horrible, couldn't finish watching it.

It is indeed hard to pick 10, so I will try to pick the ones which are known among the forum members, if I can.

"Kill Bill vol. 1" was a big waste of time despite the fact a lot of people liked it. I thought it was ridiculous.
"Ring", American version was poorly made. Directing was choppy and was hard to follow.
"Versus" should have been made in animation or something, so I wouldn't have even gotten it, and it could have made sense more.

A lot of movies made in the 80's are kind of silly to watch right now.

8. Crossroads ....

Before I realized it was a link I was going to ask, "the one with Britney Spears or the one with Ralph Macchio?" I can imagine the one you saw was awful, which is why I had no desire to see it. The Ralph Macchio one isn't all that good either, but it certainly has its comical moments. It's mostly a cult classic for guitarists, as far as I know. Steve Vai is in it!

For me:
1) Saving Silverman - a vapid piece of trash.
2, 3, 4) American Pie films - gratuitous waste of time.
5) Legally Blonde 2 - whatever charm the first one had was nearly non-existent in this uninspired money grab.
6) Rat Race - Just awful, despite all of the talent making up the cast.
7) Cats and Dogs - dreadful.
8) Men With Brooms - a dreadful Canadian movie; I often wonder if there's any other kind.......
9) The Matrix - I won't include the other two, since I haven't seen them; but I didn't think that the premier installment in the series merited the hype and clamour it had upon its release.
10) Girl Next Door - it speaks for itself.

1) Battle royal 2 - What a dissapointment from the first one which i though was fantastic.
2) Starship Troopers - Oh dear
3) Cable guy - Being a big Jim Carey fan when i was young this was somewhat of a dissapointment to.
4) Spice girls movie - Of course
5) Audition - Super ending and really shocking to but the first 1hour 30mins of nothing.
6) Visitor Q - The best worst movie ever, i really dont know if this is the worst movie ever or the best, you will have to watch it to see why.
7) Gohatto - Thought it would be a cool samurai movie, turned out to be a gay romance movie about a guy and uh.... loads of other guys.
8) Zatoichi(old version) Meets the one armed swordsman - Filmed completely in the dark.
9) Grudge(Japanese) - Quite dull, i have never seen or never will see the american version purly for this huge put off.
10) Charles Angels 1&2 - Absolutly terrible.


11) Additional film (Legally blonde) - ..........What can i say?

However, I will try and give it a shot (and can only tight now come up with 6:

1) The Dreamcatcher. (I was soooo disappointed with this film, and I relaly hope that Stephen King was too).

2) Cable Guy (I have become tired of watching Jim Carey's facial expressions)

3) Cat Soup (an anime which I can't understand)

4) Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (sorry guys, but I was not fond of this plot).

5) Starships Troopers (agree with Tim33: Oh dear)

6) Alien Vs. Predator (sorry guys, I really liked the special effects, but the plot was too far fetched....and the ending was bad..it should have been longer with a better ending...)

Hmm I liked some of the films on some peoples lists hahaha, I wont say which ones, but please dont think it was 'Crossroads' hahah Dutch Baka that really made me laugh that you wanted to see it.....

Russel Crowe is going to be Mr (I forgot his name) anyway the guy who gets locked up for 15 years.
I own the DVD of Old Boy, unfortunately I dont even have a TV let alone a DVD player here in Busan, but when I go to Seoul I like to sit down and watch it, over, and over...
It was best seen on the BIG screen oohhh the blood! Hahahha the tongue chopping, the hand chopping!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well one favourite film of mine they're remaking and I can't fathom why because the original is actually still flawless 30 years later, is "The Omen"..... even so I doubt it will possibly be as bad as Omen IV- The Awakening, but even so, I just don't get why.

I agree Zelda, that is one of my pet hates. Remakes are very rarely as good as the original, and like you say, The Omen has stood the test of time (unlike The Exorcist).

I mostly agree except for the "Hey Vern" guy. I find him hilarious. But then I find alot of 1 star comedies funny too. And I like the Piano. Ok Chucky's not so good. But have you seen "Bride of Chucky"? I thought Kill Bill 1 dissapointing. I expected more, somehow I couldn't connect with it. Maybe it was my mood. I wonder if Kill Bill 2 is even worth the effort?

I'm sorry but I simply must see Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo. Especially since Norm MacDonald is in it. However it may be bad, you could be right about that.

What about the remake of Shall We Dance? Why????!!!!

Ok I agree about the Exorcist. But have you seen Exorcist #3?

I don't know why I watch bad movies, but I'm sometimes indiscriminant and watch good, bad, and/or mediocre. I particularly enjoy really bad Christopher Walken movies, such as New Rose Hotel, and the Day of Atonement. And no matter how bad the film or the other actors, Walken is always brilliant, which makes it even more bizarre.

There was a 4 hour Peter Benchley movie called The Beast about a giant squid. It was awful. Why do I watch that stuff? It wasn't even bad in an interesting way.
