That's quite funny, because nearly two years ago we had some bad snow - for us. It was about 3 inches, and the roads were impassable for two days! We don't cope well with snow here! Hey, Tsuyoiko - I'm glad someone else loves snow! 
Normally it seems only kids like it, and if you like it when you get to be an adult people think it's a bit strange... we are more fragile now... it hurts if you fall over... 
but I don't care, I love the snow! 
It looks pretty... and if you live at a distance you might even get some time off work (whatever happened to people actually wanting time off work? doesn't that happen any more? ) The only thing is I feel sorry for old people and people who are doing awkward jobs out of doors where they might slip and hurt themselves. But apart from that - bring it on!!!

Here in Vancouver .... it rained .... ! (Quelle surprise!)
The roads were atrociously greasy and I slid halfway across an intersection trying to stop. A truck driver yelled "idiot!" at me (which spoiled my morning!) ... and I may have been caught on a camera for running a red light.
Not good!
The forecast for the rest of the week is ....... rain ........!

I thought it was going to be a nice day, until it started to snow on me in Mansfield. Had to go to Newark (less snow) before coming back into it coming home. I like snow, I just don't like the idiots who haven't got a clue on how to drive in snow

Tsuyoiko & Kinsao: On the topic of snow, you can have it! I can live without it! URGH! I'm sure I've probably mentioned this someplace else here, but we're coming up on the tenth anniversary of perhaps the worst snowstorm to hit the eastern seaboard of the U.S. in God knows when. Thirty, that's T-H-I-R-T-Y inches of the Dreaded White Stuff fell in one day, blanketing everything between Washington and Boston. I took some pictures of the aftermath back in January of '96 which I'll post for all to see after I scan them. Then you'll understand while I have no love for snow! ICK!

A friend of mine was station in Goose Bay one winter. They 'lost' two challenger tanks because of the drifting snow for about 3 months. You could drive across the bay in a tank because the ice was so thick. Sounds like fun I'll have to email my cousin in Canada to see how much snow she has had so far.

we`ve got plenty of snow. yes-yes-yes... you can roll, throw it, leave foot prints, watch white fluffy snowflakes falling against dark blue skies...
and it is only below 10 yet =))) but skies mostly cloudy... it`s so cool when it`s aroud -20, sky bright blue and white snow crisps under my feet

WE HAD SNOW IN VANCOUVER LAST NIGHT!!
Not much .... about a couple of inches or so ...
.... but when it snows in Vancouver ..... you can hear the dull thud of car hitting car ....... for miles .... !
I left Toronto to get away from the snow ... but at least they (most of 'em, anyway .... ) know how to drive in it.
Exasperated, and terrified ....

This is my 1993 Nissan Maxima, cleverly disguised as a mound of snow after the blizzard of '96 ended and 30 inches had fallen. My block was, pardon the pun, blocked in for nearly a week. After the street was cleared, it took a good two hours to dig it out. And I've got even more eyepopping pics to show everyone after I scan them.

2 to 3 inches of rain due here today. Glad this isn't snow. The temp is way above normal, in the 50's today.
