I'm going to do something totally English and talk about the weather, or rather what is it like today for you. It might give members a better idea of what the weather is really like in your part of the world, not from guide books and CNN. I find guide books vague and CNN, BBC or Sky cover too large an area. For me it has been wet and windy, but not too cold. Typical autumn day in the UK in other words.

Well, unsurprisingly since you live down the road from me the weather has been the same here! I think it is unseasonably warm, but otherwise miserable. Yesterday was nice, as it was cool and crisp, with a nice blue sky - the kind of autumn weather I like. Have you ever noticed how much the climate varies across the UK? I was in Glastonbury on Monday and it is like a month behind us, even though it is only 170 miles away.

It's cold and cloudy here in Northen NY, it's about 40 F outside. We had our first snow on Saturday night and supposed to get more tonight, 1~3 inches...

From this wet weather we had for about 3 weeks, I got a headcold and came home early today.

Its pretty warm here in Slovenia! Its almost 65F. Its not raining but on the news they said it will rain through the night.
Today was the first quite warm day after almost 3 weeks. I was not freezing when i went to school in the morning :D

It's 51F, cloudy, slightly windy. Way too cold for my tastes. Where are my socks?

(Have I mentioned I hate fall and winter for exactly these conditions?)

It's COLD... :(

I am really not liking that the cold weather is fast approaching. It's about 48 F outside, the wind is fierce, and it's cloudy.

Can I go to Tahiti now?

rainy and cold here, about 50, which for Florida is freezing. It always amazes me that people call Florida the Sunshine state when it rains at least a bit most days.

Flood warnings where I am in north-west England...it's a tad bit rainy. Nothing too major though, it'll be fine in the mornin'.

Where's The Sun ????

October here in Maine is going to break the record for the most rain in over a hundred years(for the month of Oct.). Over 11 inches in Portland so far and 2 to 3 inches more for tonight & tomorrow. I've started to build an ark in my back yard, lining up pairs of animals now.

Frank

😊

Vancouver always gets a bad rap for rain ... unjustly in my experience ...!

The weather forecast was for rain (of course) ... but today was absolutely gorgeous! Bright, sunny, warm .... perfect Indian Summer weather !

Naturally - they're forecasting rain tomorow .... we'll see ....

ニ淡ニ停?。ニ停?

Though it rained most of October, we're having wonderful autumn weather today in Tokyo--warm and sunny, with little breeze. Temperature about 65 to 70 degrees F.

And I'm here working and sneaking a post in JREF.... :p :(

Damn, so fast? woehoe REAL SNOW, can we change for a week?

Here it is "Windy , rainy"!!! and i need to bike 30min, hahaha.. lets get wet, before work!!!

It's just cold where I am. Not too windy, in fact it's pleasently cold. :p

The weather in Aberdeen, Scotland, at 10 : 09 : 15am on the mark is:

Overcast, grey, wet.

Probably a bit cold aswell i wouldnt know, havnt been outside today, and i dont plan on it. :p

Dont let this winter weather fool you "gaijin", i know for a fact at least scotland has some beautiful summer's.

Here in Philadelphia, it's cloudy, chilly (low 50's) and rainy right now. Waiting to see if Wilma causes any problems as she churns up the coast. Two weeks ago this past Saturday, the region was walloped by a huge rainstorm that dumped over five inches in the city and over ten in Allentown to the west. The whole damn state got a month's worth of rain in just one day. Makes me feel waterlogged. URGH!!

BBC says it is like this:

and 15ツ≫?ケC, but looking out of the window at the moment it is more like this:

although 15ツ≫?ケC feels about right.

Winter weather reports are pretty easy to predict in Sapporo.
Give it a couple more weeks and it'll be:

until about next April.

It's 17'C (62'F) now in Tokyo at 10pm. Was about 21'C (70'F) during day time. Not so bad. :-)

I would really hate that. It's getting too cold for me to bike here, too.

It's snowing right now at 36F(feels like 26F), and we might get some accumulation overnight. We also got winter storm warning.

Ok Busan today....
Didnt look at the sky until I got to my friends house, and she lives in a penthouse apartment.... it was raining!
When I left it wasnt raining, went home to have a nana nap and woe and behold! I heard thunder!
So we had it all today, sun, rain, wind, thunder, and rainbows to top it all off. It seems to me that whenever I take an umbrella it doesnt rain... of course the opposite happens when I dont have one handy!
Weather wise, it started to get a bit colder on the weekend, warmed up somewhat again, but I wouldnt dare walk around in a singlet like I was 3 weeks ago!
Today I even wore a pair of stockings...
The other day I wore my Cashmere Wool blend jacket, and got funny looks, I thought I was cold, until I got laughed at... shame and embarrassment sure warms you up quick! Not that I am one to care.
Because of the rain today, I have heard that the next few days are going to be chilly.

Kara,

Whatever weather you get, we'll get it next the following day or so... 😌

It sure is getting chilly! I think I caught a cold sleeping with the window open... 😊

I thought it was going to be nice today. Derby was sunny this morning. Mansfield too, and Newark. Got into Nottingham and the showers started and it has been grey ever since. Still warm though.

46 F and partly cloudy today in Indy. I love this time of year. Girls in the office have their heaters going full blast some wrapped in ele blankets. Don't understand that at all. Sleeping with the windows open, frost on the car in the morning. Did I mention that I love this time of year.
