Must unflattering picture I have seen of her. Most pictures of her she looks fairly attactive and I have no doubt that the man was attracted to her. I have no doubt he kidnapped her because he wanted to be with her.

A better pic: hannah-anderson-amber-alert.webp

But the media and authorities are trying way too hard to paint her as an innocent waif. Mind you, the guy was nuts. He killed her mother and brother who was only 8 years old. But he was an old family friend, and the contents of these exchanges between him and Hannah is covered up while we get the statement "a victim in every sense of the word." Seriously, trying too hard.

I don't fault the man for being attracted. I do fault society for making that out to be instantly wrong. I don't know if it was that that drove him over the edge, but its a possibility. I think its a fair question to ask if he had resorted to this if their ages played no factor in legal and societal views of a potential relationship between them.

But I have serious doubts that Hannah's hands are completely clean. I cannot say to what degree, but something is rotten. She may have run off with him willingly. She may have led him on or teased him. I don't know. But I have a lot of misgivings about this case even beyond my feelings about the AOC.

So she was having a little fun with the guy and he turned out to be mental. I guess the story has some educational value: 'Don't **** with people unless you absolutely must, as the crazy ones might (try to) kill you, and then it's game over.'

This makes things veeeeery clear:

"Me and him would talk about how to deal with it, and I'd tell him how I felt about it, and he'd help me through it. They weren't anything bad. They were just to help me through tough times," she said.

He wanted to have sexual intercourse with her. Come on, in today's world, how many men would, realistically, do the sort of nurturing, uber-understanding discussion thing with a girl such as her without expecting some benefit out of listening to hours and hours of tripe?

Basically I have to agree. He would have to be asexual or gay...or have mental problems. But mental problems could take him either way, although I think "wanting some" would still be the general trend, whether mental or completely sane.
